Hello!

At 9pm, Carlo and I will appear on channel 865. As if by magic. We'll be analysing the action from the £8k Sunday Roller, the £12.5k Primo and tonight's UKOPS Super Satellite. We'll also be talking...

POKER EPIPHANIES

When was your 'lightbulb' moment? What was the one thing that took your game to the next level? Which strategic concept changed your status from novice to intermediate, or from mediocre to good player? What single piece of advice would you pass on to someone starting out at the Hold'em tables?

Plus, for a bit of fun (and as we haven't had a movie theme for a while), we're going to play...

CARLO BINGO

Can you guess Carlo's ten favourite films of all time? Have a go. Send your list of ten movies that you think Carlo lurves to skyopen@bskyb.com, or post it in this forum thread. Whoever guesses the most correct titles will win free entry to tomorrow's UKOPS Super Satellite.

Plus, how many of Carlo's top ten films do you reckon appear in my top 50? Everyone who guesses the correct number will go into a draw to win free entry to this week's OmaHartigan League events.

Good luck!

    POKER EPIPHANIES

I think mine was just getting my head round Fancy Play Syndrome (or one of the many other terms people use). It's very easy to see the pros on TV on High Stakes Poker or Late Night Poker (where I first got hooked) and see all the moves they make and odd starting hands they play but you obviously can't do that until you've mastered the fundamentals of the game first. Once I got that into my head and left all the fancy play behind (for now at least), I learnt to get my ABC straight forward solid poker game as good  as possible... then you can start mixing things up a bit as you progress.

Carlo's Top 10 Films (in no particular order)

    1. Usual Suspects
    2. Godfather
    3. Shawshank Redemption
    4. 12 Angry Men.
    5. Terminator/ Terminator II: Judgement Day
    6. Pulp Fiction
    7. Good Fellas
    8. American Beauty
    9. The Shining
    10. American History X

I think he likes the classics.

James - I think probably 9 of these would feature in your top 50... (I should **** well think so anyway!)

    Only two, Rob...?

I can assure you that at least five, if not six of those movies are in my top 50!

And, just like that, I've given everyone a bit of extra guidance :-)

Have a good show guys, looking forward to reading some new OMG it's Carlo tweets.

    Poker epiphanies

Mine was learning to leave my ego off the table. You know what it's like when you really want to beat a certain player at the table because of some past history and it starts effecting all of your decisions.

    Carlos top ten films are:

    1. Goodfellas
    2. Godafather 1
    3. Godfather 2
    4. Scarface
    5. Casino
    6. Rounders
    7. Usual Suspects
    8. Pulp Fiction
    9. The Terminator
    10. Terminator 2

I'll guess 9 appear in your top 50.

OI! The Terminator, not terminator 1 ;-)

The proper one. Before it started the transition into comedy!

    Hi Guys,
    good luck with the show.

Not quite had a lightbulb moment yet but have developed my game a bit(mostly by watching sky poker and listening to Carlo, Tikay etc.) by concentrating on position and and understanding sometimes it okay to let good hands go if it looks like I'm beat.

    Carlos top 10
    The Godfather
    Forest Gump
    Casino
    Shawshank redemption
    Billy Elliot !!
Once upon me a time in America
    Rounders
    Green Mile
    12 Angry Men,
Titanic (bet he took quite a few dates to the cinema to see this!!)

    I'll guess he has 2 in James's top 50.

Keep up the good work guys,
    Celtbhoy 79

It was ok. The original had the dark LA atmos' .... something the followups never got.
