Maybe I'm being ignorant here. How on earth do you get pneumonia (like in a normal developed country living a normal life). Just I'd have thought it would only really occur in really extreme conditions?? Posted by Lambert180
Am no expert!!
But can happen if your body & defenses are weakened by illness or injury!!
I Know Sporney has had a few ops recently, spoke to him when he came up to London for one during the riots!!
Just to let you all know Martin (Spornybol) has now had the fluid drained from his lungs but he`s still on a ventilator so he has asked me pass on this message.......
And I quote:
"Could you ask Rich Orford if` i win his heads up guess please pass it on to the next nearest as i won`t be able to play.
Thankyou all for your wonderful wishes, but please also wish oynutter well as he`s been through a heart op,
I hope all went well nutty, my heart (pun intended) and thoughts are with you, now chuck me a few off the many banana`s you have"
kind Regards Ruth and Martin
I see he hasn't lost his sense of humour and is still thinking of others in his time of need.
In Dec 2006 at the age of 40 I caught pneumonia and ended up spending Christmas in hospital. It was the only time I've ever been off work sick. The first few days were dreadful, so I know how you feel. It took me a month or so to return to full fitness. However, since then I've had very good health and managed an end-to-end walk among other things. So please try to keep your spirits up, happier and healthier times are just over the horizon.
