Yep count me out, don't want to start playing outside BR. A £5.50 deepstack starts 30 minutes later than this which I think fits more into peoples rolls but just an idea. Posted by Dudeskin8
what % of ure BR u want to use for a MTT then, if you play NL20 its only half a BI??
I don't play NL20 right now after running bad lol, but for MTT's I set a 50-75 BI rule which means £5.50 is just about ok but £11 feels way too much, yes that's tight but you don't survive in poker without proper BRM .
I am glad it is shopping night tonight so I wont be playing - however i anticipate a micro-field for tonight's competition and it could scupper my last 2 night's results by those who can afford to play these sorts of stakes. I do agree that the £5.50 deepie would have been a more attractive proposition - and it may have given me a chance to have a little left on the table after shopping.
Fortunately there are 4 more comps after tonight to pick up anther decent result - good luck all those playing tonight.
Whilst i do understand that £11 aint exactly low stakes i agree with Acidman here in that nobody raised this issue when all of the events were put up in the thread. Still as only 5 events need to be played this isnt a MUST for all to play , gl to all who do play in this 2nite xx
While I appreciate £11 is going to seem a bit steep for some as you only need to play 5 out of the 8 events there is no need for anyone to play in it who doesn't want to.
When compiling the schedule I wanted it to reflect the UKOPS line-up as closely as possible so a larger buy in event was a necessity.
I don't play games at this price myself normally and at the moment I'm still undecided if I will play this one.
But it's a one-off series and while bankroll management should be every players first priority I don't think there is anything wrong with giving yourself the occasional treat as long as you can afford it.
I agree Darn, I would never normally play at £11 buy in, but as this is a one off series I will be playing tonight, then back to my low stakes lol. Good luck everyone who decides to play
