Evening again guys, Really enjoyed the Orford Disastermind tonight. Looks like I'm in good shape for the win, but lets hope I aint spoke too soon. Just out of interest, did you read out my answers to the 2 questions tonight cos I missed the first half hour of the show? Posted by Lambert180
Sorry Paul, had to dish out one last bad beat on the river

If you want to immerse yourself in the gooey sludge of a bad beat, enjoy these seminal hands:
#431077500 #431070292
#431161977
and my personal favourite: #431058696 (4 2 o v A 7s - pair of 4's seals the deal) Worth mentioning that if any of these went against me (I obviously wasn't expecting a call with 4 2o) I would be sitting here waiting for that string of luck needed to win another MTT. There is a bit of skill and perception of opponents required in choosing your moments - I don't mention all the AQ, AJ, JJ hands I folded preflop...
The JJ v AA that cost me the 250gtd:
#431157736...or the flopped set that, with a sense of inevitability, lost to a runner runner 4 card flush on the board... yes I called, I had pot odds!
PS: Here's my sit and go anthology favourites: #430915891 (K3 v AJ AIPF - makes FH with 3's and 4's)#430946633#430932963 (A7 v AJ AIPF - hit trip 7s)
#430919837 (66 v JJ - 6 makes flush to crush Jack's dreams)
Just so you know, I get my share of bad beats, but I accept them as part of the game and look to see which ones I could have avoided. Sometimes, the worst bad beats though come in the hands you DON'T play...
I think if myself as a decent stt player, much better than cash. I just can't get to grips with cash, after numerous tries it just seems its not for me. Maybe i need to change my mental attitude ! Luckily i do ok playing just STT's, well DYM's !
The thing that attracts me to playing poker is making money, and (possibly more importantly) winning. I am super competative , and just love winning.
To follow up lamberts post, i am the complete opposite, i love betting on pretty much anything !
Also was just wondering, how do people react when Carlo tells people(strangers, new people he meets) he plays poker for a living, as you've mentioned, a massive amount of people just think its a game of luck and have no understanding, and probably think "what an idiot, what does he means plays poker for a living".
