I've had this a lot recently and I always feel it's so weak probably just 'asking the question', should I be raising all of these sort of bets or is it best to just let them go ?

Quite happy to peel one off here and reassess at turn, even if it is to c/f.

May even raise to maybe see river for free, player dependant.

Looks like a draw trying to set his own odds. You are getting 3 to 1 here so you can call to see what happens on the turn. You might hit a non-heart K or Q in which case you are golden but any non-heart high card is likely going to be good for you. If he checks the blank turn then bet half pot to charge him to draw again. If he fires again think about folding since he might have you beat.

If you are up against a reg here then you might raise the flop every now and again just to show that you won't be pushed around.
