Should I have got his full stack here?

What do you think about the way this played out? I was pretty shocked to say the least when it went to showdown and I seen his cards... do you think I should have put him in on the river? I just don't see what can call me that I'm beating... Obviously now I've seen the way he played, he probably would have called on the river if I put him in but I can't be result orientated now can I...

    yes, given stacks and pot size.

    Not sure why we'd bet turn to check back river.

    Yep only half pot bet left. Get it in.
    You played it up to the river perfect. Like said before the J on the turn was a great card. He has TP, flush draw or QT which your ahead of so the river doesn't change anything and if he has a set of 5's then pay him off.

    yeah shove the river, dont see why you are shocked he turns over K9

    If you have reads he plays draws like this a lot and wont call with weak Kx , draws that turn into pair of tens etc checking back is fine, but at 4NL I think theres plenty of value to be had

    Amybr if we think draws are a big part of his range bet turn, check river seems fine to me

    deeper I would agree, but as said, not in this instance due to stack size/potsize.
