Sorry if this has already been asked and answered but I was just wondering how the hole cards on the UK Cash Game on SkyPoker are recorded? Unless I'm completely blind I'm not seeing any holecams.
Each card has a barcode on the back that you cannot see. We have a sensor above the table and there is one pointed at each players plus the community cards. Each time a card is put infront of the player the sensor picks up the information and fires in through to a graphic system in the gallery, which is manned by our Assistant Producer. If you want the UK Cash Game you will see that the players tend to move their hands away from the cards or places them directlyinfront of them and pause. The dealer then announces its fine to continue player. It only takes a few seconds for the information to come through to the gallery but we have to confirm we have it and ok to continue.
The dealer is on a talkback system to our gallery, but he/ she has to announce every action as this is manually put into the system.
