On the show sunday night

I am on the show on sunday evening as a phone guest & playing in the open. Now i am nervous as it is about being on there because i am a newbie at poker. I have had a chance to see the standard of player on sky poker and i know it is very high. I did ask the people at sky if they were sure about it and they were like yeah it's cool as long as you do your best and are chatty on the phone no probs!

so i am thinking well if do badly at least i get to speak to Tikay & sarah or LML, that'll soften the blow, now if looking like a right plum on national TV isn't enough! Now i find out there are 2 presenters presenting i have never seen or even heard of. As you will know i have only just found sky poker and have only seen the above and Rich "open champion "Orford on the box. The presenters are sean boyce and james hartigan .... can anyone let me know who these 2 are and what they're like :)

if they're is anyone that has been on before can you let me in on what to expect please :)

Apart from that i am looking forward to it and " all's good in the hood "

They're both fab - much more professional than Orford and Tikay!

Seriously, the phone part can be quite tricky as :
you are playing when they chat to u,
it is on a couple of seconds delay between the phone and the tv which can be off putting,
u are talking about a hand u played previously whilst coping with the above 2 points.

HOWEVER........it is great fun and a fab experience!  Good luck and simply enjoy it and have a blast.

They always say to make the first hour is good whilst also being a guest so don't feel bad if u get knocked out early - many many people have done so before.

    Just enjoy it.
All SkyPoker presenters and analysts are great - you will have no problem.
The points Phil makes are worth noting too.

Dont worry m8 Sean is good on screen and James wont show you up.
I'm on the Saturday show and i've got Rich n TK (I THINK) and boy are those two going to give me some stick.
Enjoy it m8 and just remember before you do anything stupid, that it may be shown on tv.

If you do make a bad play (and I'm sure you won't) that gets shown on national TV, it's great free advertising.
Loads of people will make a note of it and you can skin them next time you play them.
See, there really is no down side to it!

I was on as a home player a few week ago with these two and I enjoyed the play even though I didn't do very well.
Just play your normal game and don't be scared of the opposition, but most of all, enjoy yourself.

just a confidence thing i think, but at least if you make a idiot of yourself in your own home it's no problem! the thought of it being on the box could be very embarassing!! and OMG the rinsing from you lot too lol! it's really the thought of someone saying why did you make that play? and having no answer lol ..... errrr errrr i have no idea :)))

the good players go on odds and numbers etc and lil o me goes on gut instinct! i aint clever enough or done enough homework yet to be that good. A lot of people said i done well in posters freeroll tuther day, but honestly it was luck. Anyways if you guys say these 2 are cool that's good enough for me!!

If i do make an idiot of meself sunday night then forward all your funny messages and rinses to www.iamnewtothegameandkissmybutt.com :0))))))

You can learn more about mediocre broadcaster James Hartigan by visiting his website:

Just don't tell him any secrets or personal stuff!  It'll be over this forum quicker than you can say "French photographer"...
