This is a pretty tricky spot given the limpage and bet size, but you're only really turning your hand into a bluff with 5 bet shove.

Plus I dont really think your beating anything he 4 bets this small with.  I mean he mins a limper, then mins you.

You didnt state reads, looking at the hand afterwards its clear he is just donking with that size stack/blinds.  If notes/reads say he is a spew monkey its a snap 5bet shove.  But readless..... just yuk for bet/stack sizes.

But you can only 3bet with intention of getting it in there with that stack, if you didnt feel comfortable doing so its a simple flat.  But its just ugly from stack/bet sizing opponent makes.  Its an unpleasant spot (w/out reads).

Sorry I should have stated reads from the start, he'd not been at the table for too long but I had him pegged as a LAG

Preflop, you either flat his initial raise, or 3bet to get it in.
You aren't deep enough to flat his 4 bet, and hope he makes a mistake post flop.

Thanks, my intention was to get it in, hence the question and the line I took post flop.  Maybe if an A comes on the flop I slow down and bail out the line I've taken.

Must admit I was very surprised when I saw the cards he turned over, but given pot size and the way the board came down I think I probably sigh call in the same spot so fair play to him.
