Opponent has been raising most pots, got fed up with this and decided to 3-bet him, when I hit my ace on the flop I wasn't giving him credit for an ace, rightly so, shoved all in and he hit a flush... Should I have played this any differently, or was it always going in when I hit an ace and he picked up a flush draw anyway?

EDIT: Oh, and both blinds were away, which gave me even less reason to believe he had anything.

I just fold pre to 3x raise personally, you have 2800 behind plenty at this blind level and enoughto wait for a better spot imo.

Flop looks fine if you're playing A2 like that.

you have a pretty awkward stacksize for 3betting light here

I wouldnt be thrilled about 3b/f Ax here and if you get flatted you have very little room to manouver. Shoving seems a bit ott 28bb deep, although it would be my first instinct here.

Folding pre is a bit meh against this guy. You can consider calling intending to bluff lots of flops you miss, but if it goes multiway that would suck and playing A2 without initiative postflop will put you in lots of tricky spots

How likely villain is to flat pre and how he plays postflop would factor into my decision. Flop is prob ok with your reads
