The events are open to all, pay on the day

The Friday night tournament of Luton is widely considered to be their best of the week. With the SPT hitting town I'd expect 100+ runners, normally 70-80

Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii trouble is in the house!!!!!!!

    I'm in!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Soooooooo, while I'm here n'all.. is there any chance you could ask Luton to include a second, cheaper buy in tourney on the Friday for those who can't/don't want to buy in for £100 on the first night? I know of at least two people who are going to DTD on the Friday for this very reason..

If they say no then fair enough, but cant hurt to ask imo?

    Prettyyyyyy pleaseeeeeee????

Or see if it's possible that a group of us could be allowed to arrange SnG's between us.  Anyone who wanted to be included could be.

I recon a £30 friendly ice-breaker should do the trick...

SNGs will be fine, they'll even provide dealers

Put your names on the £20 lists in the cardroom and they will provide

It's usually a tenner up North so I'm hoping there will be a £10 list also?

Will you ask them about the cheaper tourney for us?

Yes, but I would consider it doubtful due to the £100er there being the biggest night of the week for them

    Leave it with me

    Thanks Petal

I would have thought the smaller BI tourney would attract a totally different market from the £100 BI anyway so should not affect the traffic in the 'biggie'.. only increase revenue in the casino..

As I recall the split BI tourney idea worked at Leeds so cite that as a viable reference, might help..

Either way thanks for trying and gl..

Whole heartidly agree with this. I'm a student, and can't really afford £100 on the first night, maybe if it was £30 or £50 then I'd definitely be in ;)

It's the regular Luton competition, all three side events are

They are badged as SPT side events but have to cater for the demand of their regular players

Totally understand this, however this is not a 'regular' Friday night and as always at SPT's there will be nooobies to live play and people who simply can't afford to play a £100 tourney..

It makes business sense for the casino to keep us all shepherded up really.. More bar funds, more rake, better atmosphere..

I'm not even sure the SPT players who'd be interested would mind if it was self dealt tbf..

A warm up is mighty expensive at £100..

It is a regular friday night, Irene. Sky Poker does not expect casinos to change its regular (especially if popular with their regs) events the night before an SPT.

I will ask about an extra comp

There won't be an extra MTT provided, but players can request STTs at whatever buy-in level via the card-room desk on the night
