NEW Cash for points questions

When do we get paid?? (only joking)

1)Can someone please clarify that if someone does not reach the minimum threshold (500+ points) in any month, what happens to their C4P's they have gained for that month?

2)There is no free roll now for players who get below 500pts, so are these points just collated to be used for free roll entries such as super six etc.

I just need to know to advise a few people who are looking for a new site this year. I know there is a new player free roll, but I can not see what other benefits there are anymore for any possible  new micro player on Sky IF they do not reach the minimum monthly threshold.

    Maxally -
Any points earned under 500 will not be removed, they will remain on the account until they are used and they can be used to enter freerolls.

..........Clare;......I thought c4p and poker points were two seperate things altogether. Poker points can only be used for freerolls and c4p's earned each month were paid as a monetary bonus direct into our accounts at the the beiginning of the next month (unless it was 250-499 points = Free entry to a £1000 GTD Tournament ).

Alan is asking what actually happens to the c4p's that have been earnt if below 500 pts  (poker points have always remained in our accounts for us to use as and when we wish to enter freerolls, whereas, c4p's are taken away at end of each month).

As a past example,....say i started the beginning of December with 220 poker pts and naturally, zero c4p's, and by the last day in december I earnt 450 c4p's  (I would also have accrued an additional 450 poker pts and assuming I had not used any pkr pts for fr's then, my new pkr pts total will be 670, which i am able to use at any time in the future towards fr's). It's the 450 c4p's earnt in December is now the question i believe is the query that needs clarification.................many thanks,...Billy

C4P and poker points are the same thing.

In previous months, if you earnt 2,400 Poker points you would have 2,000 removed from your account at the end of the month and replaced with £30, the leftover 400 would have stayed in your account.

eg, end of November you have 1,000 points in your account, during the month you earn 2,400 points. At the end of the month you will have 3,400 but 2,000 of those will be swapped for your C4P bonus aand you would then be left with 1,400 points in your account.

Thanks Quinn,.....I wasn't aware of this, I always presumed that at the start of each month your c4p's was reset at zero.

Your Cash for Points 'balance' will reset at the start of each month, but any unused points will remain, as in PokerFail's example.

With the new system, we will remove the points to nearest 500 at the lower tier. For example if a player earns 1489 points, they will be credited for their 1489 points, but 1000 points will be removed from the player’s account, leaving 489 points to use for freerolls etc. These points can accumulate each month they aren't used, but wouldn't be added to the cash for points balance again, if that makes sense?

It's nice to see you're still giving "leftover" points.

I really rarely play freerolls but at least that's one more thing for the micro players : )

I might be wrong but I thought Maxally's point was that, if someone earns 499 points in January, then 499 in Feb, then 499 in March, essentially Sky has given them nothing. Ok they have the freerolls but the fields are so big and the prize pool so small that it's really not worth anyone's time. At least with the old system there was entry to a 'freeroll' (although couldnt you buy-in for £1.10??) with I think £1000 guaranteed, that's something worth playing for, and that guy who repeatedly comes just under the 500 mark is producing rake and getting zilch for it.

As an aside to this though, it could be argued that many many poker sites give everyone nothing! so hey ho
