the problem with this, especially at 100nl is that certain regs sit at them and then sit out once any other reg joins.  sky doesn't spawn new 6 max tables until 3 people are on so of course they are just sat there blocking up the site just because they are afraid of playing anyone remotely decent HU.

its beyond tilting because it shows such short sightedness and a complete lack of awareness of how poker sites work but they just all sit there and sit there its ridic

Seen this thread and a couple of others complaining about happy hour - Surely it'd be better for Sky to have "Personalised" happy hours - I.E. Every player can pick 3 hours (maybe force them to be a couple of hours apart or something if the idea is to get people to play throughout the day) and give them 50% C4P boost if they play at that time.

Whenever I've looked at the cash tables in the lobby during happy hour, it's been pretty ridiculous tbh. I don't play much cash, but I was going to play cash, it wouldn't be during happy hour.

Ben could start as many tables as he wanted during happy hour they'd still become ridden soon enough.

C4P Race is so funny "_)

Why don't you all just stick money in a hat and then draw a raffle

    essentially what your doing )

bet sky are loving the rake though

Been watching a fair bit of this high stakes action hoping to learn a little.

There was a table last night with 4 well known regs and two lesser known players. When the two sat out, the speed with which the table broke was amazing. Cant blame them though.

There may have been a few complaints, but there are probably loads more players wading in, and enjoying the benefits, so I'm not sure Sky will be that keen to change anything at the minute.

Don't know for sure but I think the happy hours are designed to draw in players when the tables are least in demand.
Choosing your own hours probably wouldn't hit Sky Business targets. Thats my opinion only

Totally agree. Trying to play HU 25/50 and 50/100 last few days and as soon as i join in the other player sits out. They are sat at 3 tables so i can get a game. He doesnt realise i am easy pickings. Haha

Problem is tables are invested with regs taking 20 seconds every hand folding there way to a package that sounds good, but in reality they have either got it or dont really want cos they would have bought it anyway.

As for starting new tables, I always make a effort to start new tables. I sit down usually sam or remy sit with me one of sits out when third player comes we start. Worked well doing this for past three years. I dont play hu even against a non reg as I am on bout 8 tables and I find it really detremental to every table I am on not just -ev on that particular table.

The non regs will not get value for money walking into a reg invested site so they will stop spending money.

No one spending = No game

you seem to be very concerned with getting players to spend money playing poker which obv you should be.
do you think they will spend more money if:

    a) they join a table with 2/3 regs sat out who instantly sit back in when they do, and instantly sit back out/leave when they also do, or even with some of the most ridic players they refuse to play even if the rec. player is just 'sat out' taking a break.
    b) they join a 2/3 handed game that is already in progress and carries on playing if they sit out/leave

slightly confused at your 'i dont play HU vs non regs' comment as you sit at multiple HU tables?

happy hour is a good promotion, it just means that when combined with the full house promotion this month yes they will be reg infested.

if only there were 21 other hours in the day, oh wait nvm

Not that I consider myself a reg, but ive decided to give the odd happy hour a miss especially if ive made a decent profit in the few hours before the reg fest,

3/4 buyins profit in a session is worth more imo than a few extra points and a few tussles with regs which can diminish profit. Dont get me wrong happy hour is a great promo, but I wont sit at a table where there are 4 regs 1 casual player and me especially if ive doubled up.

I will end up with a bigger c4p tally this month there is no doubt, but getting half way through the month im not as points focused as I was at the beginning of the month.

I dont mix hu and 8 tabling 6 max.

To your question it would be b. Will give you example of this when we were playing 2000nl omaha. You won the non regs money and ran while me and cowgomoo kept the table going for ten min or so giving the non reg a chance to reload.

theres just a slight difference between

playing 10x normal stakes at a different form of poker
playing normal stakes at a game which you do everyday for a living

yes i will bumhunt 10/20 if i think the game is good, pretty sure id be +ev  vs you&cow playing 3handed but at 10/20plo the swongs will just be too ridiculous
