First live cash game, First live hand... help!!

Right title says it all: i joined a 50p/£1 table at the casino (after making an early exist in the tournement) with £90. Dont know anything about anyone on the table and planning on not getting into any massive pots from the off untill i have a bit of an idea of the table.
In the big blind, guy on the left (stack about £100) has straddled to £2 and it has folded round to me with Ks10s, and i call up... is this a mistake???

Flop: 10c 3d 10h

I bet £2.5, he thinks, then calls

Turn: 6s

I bet £5.5, he thinks for a bit longer, then calls. I am confused at this point, but pretty certain im good here.

River: 4c

I bet £12, he shoves. ARGGGGH. This is the last thing i wanted to happen on the first hand.

What do people do here??

    Well there's no flush and only a strange unlikely 52/57 straight

    I'm never folding here in a million years, if he's got AT so be it. One problem here is that he'd straddled and you just called so he's in the hand without even getting a say in the matter so he could have two random junk cards that have outdrawn you.

    I still call 100% even with the big overbet

    Your hand is too strong to bet fold.

    If he has you its a plain cooler that I cant see you getting away from. 

    Its either a boat a bluff or worse 10.  Your beating two of those................

    I dont see how its a straight from the call on flop/

    Its gonna be a move a lot of the time, or overplayed hand like Q's

    It was folded round to the big blind in a casino? Wow lol normally theres 11 limpers atleast. And im calling!

    call, oppo has a ten and thinks it's super good to tank and then shove river !
    May have housed up but hey ho.........

    Thanks for the replies, i have to admit i was kind of playing scared money, as i only had one chance and really did want to kill some time whilst my brother was still in the tourney... so this really wasn't a snap call for me. I realise i should have poped it up pre. I ended up thinking for a while before i worked up the courage to call whislt everything was telling me to fold!!!

    To my great delight and suprise he showed QQ and from his reaction he thought it should have been good, so was a value shove... very strange.

    Are these eratic plays to be expected in casinos????

    YES! I make my living playing at the casino and full of donkeys apart from the select few but seen as tho im  regular ive gotten to know who not to play against (theres about 3 people who are good), which casinow as it may I ask?
