Walking into New casino for the first time

For some bizarre and unbelieveable insane reason, my company decided to have a sales team Meeting in Brighton, on a Friday.  Now I'm not having a pop at Brighton, it'a  lovely place.  But to drag a national based team to the south coast on a Friday.  Bit mental.

To soften the blow we were all arriving on Thursday evening for a bit a socialising, THE NIGHT BEFORE THE MEETING. As a bit of a light weight on the drinking front, it always amuses me to see people hung over in a works meeting. ;o)

Anyway Thursday night we all head off from the Thistle hotel to a comedy club.  Suffice to say a great night was had by all, the comedians, with 1 exception, were all brilliant.

As we were walking back to the hotel, we stumbled across a Kareoke bar,  which everyone ploughed into.  As I can't carry a tune in a bucket.  I decided to head into the G Casino, which is a 2 minute wlak from the Thistle.

Really nice place, staff really friendly, they were just about to open a second cash table.  It was a £1/£2 table, which is above what I normally play, but I stuck 50BB's down and ended up playing for just over 3 hours. I had a brilliant time. The banter at the table was excellent, everybody was there to play poker and have a good time.

I mentioned that I played on Sky and asked if anyone from the table played.  I was pointed in the direction of an elderly gentleman who was playing the final table of the tournament, who's son "played a bit on Sky".  Turns out it was Mr "Glitterbabe" senior, who assured me that Wayne learned everything from him ;o)

Anyway this was just to say if anyone finds themselves at a loose end when in Brighton, I can thouroghly reccomend the G Casino

Oh and my 50BB's... managed to spin it up to 200BB's by the time I left  ( Blantant Brag bit... Sorry )

HaHa if my dad was telling you this, then he was definetely bluffing the guy is a legend in Brighton G but a complete fish looooool...I love the G in Brighton, like you say the staff are probably the best compared to the rest of the country.. It just annoys me no end that the card room there sucks, when they had a refurb last year we all thought things would be different but sadly they stayed the same....

Glad you enjoyed your short time there !!!!
