Not a bad Grand National trial for Junior. Father V Posted by vaigret
I'm annoyed with myself Father and I need punishing. When it won the Kim Muir at Chelt' last year so easily I said then I should back it a little every week for this years National, but I was lazy and just let the 25/1 go un touched all year. I watched the race at Dusk Til Dawn's card room and was amazed Boylesports were still going 14's after it, so I got on. Will have a bit more each week til the race whilst it remains double figures. Least I've made day 2 of this event, hopefully I'll cash and be able to top up my bet.

I too need punishing as Mr Francome convinced me not to nap the winner.
I watched the race and personally not convinced the GN will suite Junior
Hi joesman and good luck today , keep going in the tournie and keep the faith in Junior.
Kalooki, you really must stop listening to Mr Francome. I am concerned that Junior wont like Aintree , however there is no evidence of that and what i have seen of him so far he looks a value bet for the national and has been since Cheltenham last year. Frontrunners tend to like the National if they can get over the first two or three and if he gets into a rhythym he will hard to beat. Add to that the Pipe's record in the race and they can certainly get one ready both in fitness and being able to take to Aintree.
So lets hope they do there job right and whatever happens it was a brilliant trial yesterday. Not fully wound up and would have won but for interference at the last fence..
BY THE WAY FOR THE FIFTH WEEK RUNNING WE OUTSTRIPPED THE PRO'S IN THE RACING POST NAPS TABLE. THEY COULD ONLY COME UP WITH SIX WINNERS AND THE BEST OF THOSE WAS 6-1.
