Hi all
With the trial run of timed tournaments from tonight (there will be a fuller schedule tomorrow), we thought we'd start a thread to share thoughts on how to best play these.
It will be interesting to see how it compares to regular tournaments, how things change throughout the game and especially towards the end.
Over to you!
Thanks

Any more thoughts on strategy now they have been going for a few days?
Utg shoves (KK) snap called by Q3o, 109o, 86s & 22. I was only folder J3o not me fav hand).
needles to say KK didnt win - QQ7 flop
Not sure but toss up between this & 5 lottery tickets for +ev.
Have to admit tho, like them as addition to the site as quite fun.
i wonder if there will ever be one of these that ends as a winner takes all ?
I have no strategy, never played them yet because I am too tight to spend a fiver on a game.
But agree with the above, give me a few choices at a couple of quid a game and I will have a pop, bit of fun while playing a 'proper' game.
You know roughly how long is left as it says end at 13:30 or whatever, but there is no timer at the top like a normal game where the level counts down to zero. This is crucial where every penny counts and you could possibly steal (sorry win) the last hand's blinds.
got all my chips in withh 99 last night on the last hand and lost the whole lot, if timer was there I think I fold and take the money
I think what you will find is , once the initial panic plays are over and time is nearly up , the big stacks will start to let the clock run down to stop the smaller stacks getting back in. So these timed tourneys need a very short thinking time to stop this , which can get very frustrating.
