When your playing on a table with a player, double click on the box with his name and chip count on it, A yellow box like a postit note will appear, put your notes in there and save it,  next time you play this player he will have a small icon against his name, click on the small icon and your notes about him wiil appear .

    Hope that helps

Sorry to piggy back on this.

What sort of notes should you be using?

    Examples please?

I'm not the best at writing notes but you just want anything that will help you make decisions...

So if he calls a big all-in pre with K9, you know he's really loose.

If they limp into the pot as the first person to act, you can usually assume they are loose and passive

If you see sometime raise pre 10 hands in a row, it's safe to assume they're pretty aggressive and aren't necessarily gonna have cards every time they do it.

The main things I like to keep track of is are they tight/loose with their starting hands and are they aggresive/passive. If you know they're aggresive means you can sometimes slowplay strong hands against them, whereas it's crazy to slowplay against a passive player who will never bet.

@pokerfail "Annoyingly though some player notes dissappear for no reason :/"
I've been playing around with the notes trying to understand this after reporting to suppport several times, moianing in the forum like **** etc and nothing getting done about it. I've figured out the notes support 255 characters then thats it. The number of lines in your notes irrelevant but each time you insert a new line that counts as 1 character.

The upshot is notes start to get lost once you go past the 255 character limit.

The thing to do is edit you notes save them then reopen, if notes have disappeared then you've gone past the character limit and need to abbreviate/delete some of what you've got - probably best to keep your notes short and punchy anyways - doesn't get away from the fact SKY YOUR NOTE SYSTEM SUCKS!!

Edit: Mote note weirdness: Entering a percent sign leads to more strange things going on with the notes! So if I try and record sharkscope stats say "16% loser over 3k games" the % sign seems to be treated as a control character and lost along with the next 3 charaters after it. Upshot: You can't use % sign in notes use pct instead!

Oh and don;t bother typing +16pct, the + sign will just disappear :(

The note I use most is "always calls if has any pair - don't bluff", or simply "fish - don't bluff"

I try to identify habits that will help me in the future against certain players.

ie. donk leads small to set price
    overbets river with the nuts
will call 3 streets with 2nd pair
3 bets light in late position

    etc.

    Can be very useful indeed

Ah ty, interesting, SORT IT OUT SKY.

Would also be nice if the box itself was bigger along with the character limit :S

Most of my notes tend to be general play of the oppo or very specific hands that will help later.
    E.g.
    3 bet's qj,a8s+ IP
    calls 3bet's OOP with SC
    AI PF 88+
    AI As5c, AdAh2h4c

It would be nicer if we had color coded notes. I like to give diff colour notes ranging from super donk - pro so you can always have a quick check how good a player is without opening your notes.

nug as the replies here have stated notes dont need to be anything fancy, just simple and concise does the trick.I always make a note of any player who calls a decent raise with a junk hand.

Does anyone else have this problem - which is an utter utter pain the ar se when multiing?

When typing out notes in the box, whenever it's your turn to act the software automatically goes to the table where it's your turn, hence you have to click on the note box again. I sometimes have to click it 10 times just to finish typing off my note. Does my head in :(

have the same problem....the thing that annoys me more than that is when you keep getting put at the start of the note box not at the last place you were typing.  then when action goes on table it moves back to the start of the note so if you try to finish it you end up typing in front of what you wrote before.

Note box no where good enough for HU SNG notes, simple just ain't good enough! The box can't even cope with simple info on ranges for basic spots pre and post flop. How do we get something done about this? I've posted long time back in the support forum, made it clear on the recent opions survey.

Come on SKY, the notes are really letting the site down and it reinforces the view by some that SKY POKER is  just the recreational arm of a sports betting site.

Sounds just like another big sports betting site. The poker players have left in their droves because the site didn't do anything/were too slow to implement changes.

    Sort it out please Sky.

I won't even start about the pathetic lag I get after 7 tables (which is NOT my laptop/internet connection/firewall tyvm).

Same here. Really annoying. I actually thought it may have been the Chrome browser... I haven't tried any others though.

@Mc It's not mate, tried all sort including the download application - the size limitation and the funny stuff with % etc will be down to the way SKY have set their database up. I've given up note taking :(
