HI everyone how was your Saturday, mine not to good, nothing went right, felt bit under the weather, came of the site about 10pm, i play £2.30 bounty hunters, couldn't get going, tried everything i know (it ain't much lol) but still no good, mostly going all-in with best hand, short of chips but still went all-in, and got beat on the river, never mind it happens. so how's your day been?
Glen

    Hey Glen,

That's not so great, you get days like that, maybe feeling under the weather had an influence on your performance?

I was itching to play all of yesterday but was feeling really tired so resisted the urge as I knew I'd just chuck money down the drain.

Started out ok this morning though, played 5 DYM's Won 4 Lost 1, bringing my overall DYM win percentage back up to 67% :D

Hope you have better luck at the tables today!

    James

Saturday was just as depressing as every other day.

Poker-wise only played one £11 DYM and didn't cash. Ran 77 into AA and despite what the A51'ers say the AA held. Perhaps I should write a shann style rant but there's really no point.

morning glen, yesterday was actually a good day, had a nightmare week having to drop down levels in cash which i hate doing but if i didnt it could have been busto which aint good. been up to nl50 3 times now and just cant get past it. this time it wasnt taking shots at nl100 that hurt. tried multi nl50 (6 tables) and had a really bad session losing 7 bins, the next day lost 3 more. went down to nl30 opened up 6 again and lost 3 more.
like i say steadied the ship over last 2 days and was up :-). variance and bad play is a bad combination especially when your too stubborn to move down quicker enough.
anyhow, back to grinding it back up again!!   phil

What a pleasant opening post, no rant about suck outs, no its a fix, no hand screen shot shown which make my eyes glaze over.....
Dont play tired, drunk or after youve argued with the Mrs is my mantra.
I spent the evening playing 2 quid deep stacks, cashing one and breaking even after 6 hours, bit Groundhog Dayesque, noticeably the RNG was fixed today ,,  every hand i went bust on I went in behind and stayed behind and when I pushed in other areas and got called when ahead, I stayed ahead.
Still a bit bemused by the maths of it all but ;)
This time next year we will all be millionaires Rodney

I had a pretty good Saturday actually, aint played and took advantage of the bad pleyers on Saturday for ages. I've only been playing HU SnGs (£3.15s) recently, so I think I played 24 and won about 18... not sure but about £15+ profit anyway and a few poker points.

Last night was the first Friday/Saturday for a long time that I haven't played early on, got some nice profit. Then logged off for a few hours, had a few drinks and then come back on and donked all my profit off in 30mins.

I may finally be learning something.

I don't play cash much now, i started playing 2p/4p won a bit but mostly lost, i couldn't understand what was going on, did everything that i learnt fro the analystand pros on tv, you know good hand bring it in with a raise, got AA for example bring it in 4x bb 20p and find myself in a family pot, i know this is what you want callers, but not that many, normally get busted with 72 suited no figures, this seems to happen more often and carn't get my head round it, so i moved to tourneys, and having great fun, what do you think, my bankroll is ok for what i am doing, love it.

the thing is g if your playing for fun which lets be honest most people are and your playing mtts which your doing then all good my friend. as long as the beats dont really hurt you and your having to take shots at big mtts chasing loses then just keep doing what you are doing.
i do play mtts just to break the monotony of cash and find it refreshing. like i say, keep enjoying what your doing and learn as you go along. phil

    nice thread Glen,

I've been trying to learn this crazy game of Omaha fora few weeks now so I thought I'd try the Omaha freeroll ....hmmm, nearly got to the cash but NOT QUITE!!! Story of my life ...

I remember your question "what is a blog?" and it's great to have you here with us on the forum.

I wrote a blog last summer and Sky kindly let me publish it here on the site after I completed a challenge that was way out of my comfort zone. Here is the link for it if you would like to have a read. By the way, this was my first ever blog but I was so proud of my achievement that I wanted the whole world to know.
