Annoying

Poker's pretty annoying, eh?

Poker's annoying alright.

It bugs me. I've read a lot of the books, listened to the clever guys, played pretty well at times.

But it's annoying.

I've even read some of the threads of late from the big guys on here. And it even seems annoying to them. 3D tv or not. It's annoying.

In fact most threads are started by people that are annoyed. It's annoying.

Run good, run great, one horrible hand and I'm bust. Annoying.

I like to think I'm not a total idiot. But can't make profit. Grind profits and one bad call and I'm losing. Annoying.

I'm totally addicted to this game. My goodness that's annoying.

Jeezo poker annoys me.

Thoughts?

R u playing above your roll?

I used to do this all the time.

I'm trying to correct this by sticking to a level I'm totally comfortable with and not move up until I hit my next profit target.

Poker's just like sport, annoying and amazing in equal measure - what a game@the etihad!!

    COYS!

    I rest my case.

What a ridiculous game, unbelievable finish.

Should Mario have been on the pitch to win the pen and score the winner? Massively controversial. If only Defoe was half a foot taller...

Gutted but totally proud of the team. Important that we don't drop our heads and make sure we finish top 3 which would be an amazing season4us, considering we were written off4even top4@the start.

    COYS!!

Yes I agree . . .  it is annoying and frustrating - endeavouring to "beat the game" (a cr@p adige but one that is commonly used). It doesn't make you an idiot if your results aren't in the black, it just means you're one of the 95%+ of players who haven't achieved it - for a whole variety of reasons. There's certainly no shame in putting your hand up and admitting as much. Poker's like driving though - you won't find too many people who'll admit being a not very good driver?

The BIG question is, having come to the conclusion that playing online is frequently a case of one step forward and two steps back, what is your next step? Stop playing? Restrict your play? How much more money are you prepared to throw at it? After a year of play, I'm going to wind it up soon and direct the time I have free to other pursuits - something I'll write a piece on shortly.

If you do continue, better cards in future.

I know the feeling and feel like I've half fixed the issue for myself, so if you want the advice I'll give it.

On line, I've always played underrolled.  Kind of got myself into a position of being massively overrolled now and I've never enjoyed the game more, nor had a better roi.

I had a spat with someone on here awhile ago, as much as this person went about his POV in a rude way, elements of what he said was right.  My thought process was massively over thought due to being underrolled, magnifying all my decisions and ability to play good poker.

If you've lost your profits in one hand could this be an element of your problems maybe?  Poker is so much more fun and easy when you can make mistakes and it not be devastating.

It's all about playing inside a bankroll or as some players deem it, a 'budget', if you stray outside of it then obviously losing will hurt, if you stay inside it and losing a BI is say 1% of your roll then it won't even enter your conciousness (spelling).

I don't find it Annoying, in fact I find it exhilarating, exciting, pulsating, pleasurable addictive fun.  But! when you lose.

it hurts me more to stay within a bankroll. I had a great time playing the higher stake cash tables recently een tho technically i shouldnt be playing them according to the br nits, but poker is supposed to be fun unless your pro.

I dont get this 1% rule for recreational players like me. It doesnt hurt me when i lose alot because i know the risks im taking. Its my silly fault if i got all my br on the cash tables for example, i dont blame anyone else other than myself if i lose.

get a bankroll, lose it, get another, lose it, bink a nice mtt, bank a bit, spend a bit, lose a bit, repeat... story of a recreational fish like me. fun fun fun
