Get it in vs 2prs, 1pr + draws and A's
Saw a bizarre hand other day like this on season 2 of the big game 910J with two hearts I think it was. He leads, gets raised n re raised by 10J and Kh2h.
He opts to fold fearing the made straight and the heart draw. They run it twice. Hearts get there on first one. J gets there for J's over 10's on second one. He is uber relieved and sincerely thinks it was a good fold.
It wasnt.
I used to obsess in these spots and was abit ignorant tbh.(yes...yes...). When you increase volume significantly it just becomes simple. Yes he could have a made hand.
But odds are that weaker hands do this also and well... we can always bink 1/3 when they are made.
Plus if you are rolled, when they do have it and we dont bink its just a sigh move on.
With no player reads, There are 4 hands that beat you, QA Q9 KK and JJ.
The draws out are 89 for a str draw and just a queen or a Queen and a pair like QJ,QK and QT for a Up and down str draw which you beat atm.
Out of those hands which limp call raises?
Unless he is either bad or laying a trap you can discount KK and JJ. That leaves QA, Q9 which you are under dog with only 35% chance of improving. And you are ahead of all other hands 89 and all other Qx hands by 75%
Again QA most people raise QA, rightly or wrongly I would discount that so In my head its Q9 or 2 pair or Qx.
I would make the call as you are ahead of most of the hands that would shove here and if you are faced with QA or Q9 you still have 10 outs.
Agree, should have raised bigger pre, oh well.
Good advice as always ty.
raise more pre
never fold sets on the flop <100BB deep and you wont go too far wrong
