well tonight was a roller coaster up a little but twice aces beaten - once by 87 and also by J5 both times they flopped the world - a straight and a full house ouch
Hi walesboy, sounds like your on a downswing matey! Just play thru it, but be honest about it to yourself, if its affecting your game then have a week off, do some work on strategy and work at your game. Come back refreshed and crush it!
What you playing now? DYM's, cash? What level, have'nt seen you about for a while.

Hi mate, long time no see! hope the "poker gods" are favoring you yeah, just "variance". it happens played the last night and in profit. still playing cash - trying to move up to nl8 but there is a lack of tables/seats when i tend to play. so still nl4 while trying to build up the roll to take on nl10 bit of a nit so probably could do it now roll wise don't know how nl10 plays v nl4/8 though
Most find NL8 the same as NL4 but i think it is a better standard at NL8. Took some getting used to and took some horrific beats along the way but am well in profit now at NL8, same old solid ABC stuff should be good enough to grind a profit and then you will soon recognise the regs. I have played a bit NL10, but i tend to multi table NL8 with a couple of NL4 tables just to stop boredom. I dont like to have more than 5% in play at one time so i dont play NL10 that often. Saying that, NL10 is again, slightly better than NL8. When i say better, i mean there are more regs kicking about. You dont get as many 'beginners' like you do at NL4 so you have to be a tad more wary of who's doing what. Its still easily beatable if your table selection is correct and you keep your wits about you and make plenty of notes on people as you tend to bump in to the same old faces more than the previous two levels.
Nothing to be scared of. Just keep reading, improving, and its fine. Good luck matey!
