I have entered this and yes its a bit of free fun, but who decided the areas? There are over 8 million people in London, 4million in scotland and Northern Ireland and 3 odd in Wales (and to be fair half of those wouldnt have internet access lol) Also to try and get Northern ireland ''all inclusive'' they make it the rest of the world as well, and then bar most of the rest of the world from playing, they may as well have said the rest of the universe lol. They even stopped the spanish guys a couple of months back. I havn't bothered to look at the uk population census for the regions but i bet they are nowhere near an equilibrium. Is there any chance that sky could give a run down of the total entrants by area for this competition, i bet not lol? If they could, why not make it a handicapped event to take into consideration the vast differences in areas, otherwise it will be a bit like Man utd playing Man city, with 20 players to 5! Rant over, back to the poker ))

From the FAQ;
How do you decide which region wins Play the Nation?
All 10 regions will be awarded a Play the Nation Score (PTN Score) across the 3 main poker disciplines: Cash, Sit and Gos (SnGs) and Tournaments (Tourneys). PTN Points are added to a regions total automatically the average number of points per player who contributed is shown on the site in our Stats table. The top region in each section will win be awarded 10 points, second will earn 9 points and so on. That means the maximum PTN Score a region can have is 30 - top scores in Cash, Sit and Gos and Tournaments.
I agree that this is hugely unfair.
Quite obviously it is skewed in favour of the Scots whom, it is widely known, have, per capita, far greater IQs than the rest of the world.
C'est la vie.
:-)
Hope we don't exceed the Welsh bandwidth if we play at the same time.
