RAKE

Hi guys, firstly I'd like to thank everyone who contributed to my post about my 2p/4p cash downswing. You were all very helpful and I have now figured out a consistent winning strategy.

My question today is; why is rake on heads-up cash so big? I was playing heads-up with some guy who thought he could outplay me, with no conclusion still. We both started with £4, but after 48 minutes I had £2.75 and he had £2.60!!! Even in a limped pot of 8p, 1p had already gone on the flop! 

I am sorry if this is in the wrong section, but I'd just like a few opinions as on other sites the rake % is MUCH lower, thanks.

    Pretty sure it's the same rake as on the ring games it's just you're in every pot so end up paying more rake.

    at nl4 the rake is 7.5% which is higher than normal as well.

    Only 7.5% on a handful of pot sizes,the rest get rounded up to the nearest penny so end up paying 8% + per hand.

    Ok guys, I think maybe I should stick to SNG heads-up matches instead then. Tend to do pretty well on those, so might be worth a try. Nothing like a 6-max donkfest cash game though :)

    hu cash at this level is insane. like you say play sng hu far better for you.
