Collection for dragonfli/Lynne Senior

Good morning.

At the Luton SPT, a few moments were taken before the Tournament to pay respect to Lynne, & that may be viewed on the upcoming TV coverage, or I hope it will.

A collection was organised, initially & primarily by Irene Mirza (TRIP5) & Dave Harvey, (HITMAN-RV), later helped by Samantha & many others.

Incredibly, £600 was raised in cash, & various further pledges of cash were promised.

After the event, Irene passed the £600 cash to me in an envelope, for safe keeping until the rest of the pledges were received.

I have today written, via e-Mail, to Irene & Dave together, as follows......

"....Good morning Irene, Dave. Wonderful to see you both at Luton, & to see how respectful everyone was to Lynne’s memory. Irene gave me an envelope with £600 in cash in it, being what was collected @ Luton, & I gather she is awaiting a few more pledges to be fulfilled. In the interim, I would prefer to tx this cash to either of you, by Bank TX. Can you agree amongst yourselves, & then one of you send me your Bank Details, please?...."

As soon as they reply, I will transfer that £600 to them.

Too all those who donated, or made pledges, or just paid their respects, thank you, this Community really can be a wonderful place at times, with some very special people in it.

    Hi Guys

Wow !!!! I can't believe the effort that has been put into this and I am overwhelmed with the generosity and endeavors of everyone involved with Sky and the sky poker community. I am so grateful to all of you. Irene, Sam Tikay & Hitman & all of you are stars.

I have sent a personal message back to Irene and yes I would like the money to be donted on the site, thank you again. There is also about £400 that has been donated through the post to the charity in Lynne's name as well which was not done online, it an unbelievable response.

Ive just texted Hitmaman to tell him I am making a major change in my life and have decided to get a new puppy (A Briard),  I won't have him until May as he isn't born yet but looking forward to it. Ive decided to name him "Allin"....a good poker name I think and it also sounds a bit like "All Lynne", ....You probably didn't need to know that but I thought I would mention it anyway,  I'll post a picture or two when I get him.

Ive played a couple of games this week and I am sure I will see you all on the tables in the next few days.

Thanks again everyone, your support has been magnificent.

    Ian

Good to hear from you Ian.  Great name for the pup!  As a 3 x dog owner myself would be great to see pics when he arrives.  The briard is a lovely breed.  I have a mate who had a Briard crossed with a Berger de Picard.
Heres a nice pic of him. Hw was called "Chewwie B", for obvious reasons! and was an accomplished climber!

Hope to see you at the tables.
