The schedule for this year's WSOP was released yesterday.
It begins on May 28th May (actually, May 29th unless you are a Casino Employee!) and runs through until July 16th.
The Main Event will have THREE Opening days this year (it had 4 last year, but daily capacity has been upped), but will NOT have any Rest days this year. Normally there is a rest day between days 2 & 3.
Biggest buy-in? That'd be $1,000,000, for the "The Big One for One Drop" on July 1st. Seats are still available.
Most curious event title? "The BRACELET BOUNTY NLH", (which is a NON-Bracelet Event).
Contrary to persistent rumour, it will once again be held at The Rio All Suite Hotel. If you plan to attend, & have never been to Vegas before, please note that "The Rio" is NOT on the Strip, & is a Taxi ride from most of the famous Strip Hotels.

anything that jumps out for you Tikay? or are you gonna do most of your playing in Vegas @ the Venetian?
I dare not even look too close, Ryan, I'd be like a kid in a sweet shop, "ooooh, I'll have THAT & THAT,....and THAT".
Have to say, I'm not keen on the "gimmicky" Events. They have a "Doubles" Event, where 2 players act as a Team, & there is an "Ante Only" (No Blinds) Tourney. They are the sort of things I expect to see in Blackpool or Southend, not the WSOP in Las Vegas.
I disapprove of single-gender Events, too, such as the "Ladies Only" Event. The cause of women in poker is not advanced by that sort of patronising nonsense, quite the opposite.
But overall, I dare not even look at it too closely. For me, too, it depends on what plans Sky Poker have for the WSOP this year, & whether I were to get the "Host" duties. I'd rather like to be there again, both to work & play, given the chance.
Oooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhh
The official Press Release said......
One more important note relating to the WSOP Main Event: as is now customary, the delayed final table shall return but will be contested one week earlier than in previous years. With the U.S. Presidential Election slated for the first Tuesday in November, the WSOP Main Event final table will be held in two stages, from nine players playing down to two on Sunday, October 28th, with heads up play on Tuesday, October 30th. Once again, the Penn & Teller Theater at the Rio will host the finale, in front of an anticipated live television audience on ESPN and ESPN2.
