hi guys i was wondering if anyone could help me i`m mostly cash player and hear if you winning  5bb/100 is a good win rate but i dunno how to work that out for myself also no idea to find out how many hands ive played etc.

I usually know if i`m winning or losing based on how many bi`s i`m up or down per session,day,week ,month etc so for example.

I starting playing back on sky poker last saturday nite deposited £40 playing 4nl/5nl my bankroll now has increased to £168.88 and so i`m in profit by£128.88  i`ve only played 5days since last sat  so if someone could help me figure out how to work out bb/per 100 hands, hourly rate would ne very much appreciated.

thank you liamboi11.

    £/100 = 100*(profit/#hands)
    bb/100 = (£/100)/bb

    so for example if;
    Profit = £20.99
    Hands Played = 338
    at the cash level of NL5 (i.e. big blind 5p)
    Then,
    bb/100 = (100/0.05)*(20.99/338) = 124.2 (to work out £/100 you would times 8p by 124.2 = £6.21/100

    However, the figures used above are based on a small sample size, hence the high bb/100, i expect this to average down to around 10-20bb/100 over a larger sample.

    An exact value for hourly rate can't be made, but using an average of 80 hands per hour, a rough guess can be made, By the following method:
    Every 100 hands £6.21 is made, therefore £0.0621 (i.e 6.21p) is made every hand (on average). Hence, 80*6.21p = £4.968 i made every 80 hands. As we assumed 80 hands are played per hour, then approximately £4.968 is made per hour.

    i play a mixture of 5NL and 8NL, only started playing these levels recently, after NL4 was rather neglected by the new poker points scheme. I'm yet to try out at NL10, hopefully if all goes well it shouldn't be to long.
    I don't remember playing against you? could you jog my memory?
