I am wanting to start playing cash on a regular basis but I am unsure at what level to start at, how many buy ins i need etc......
I have dabbled on the cash tables before mainly anywhwere between nl4 and nl10 but have never really played for long periods of time.
What I want to know is what is the best approach to start playing cash tables? My br is currently £250, and I never play more than 4 tables......so am I best 4 tabling nl4, 2 tabling nl8????? How many buy ins do ppl recommend before moving up a level?
Advice needed please!

i think it is a matter of personal choice,
as you have a good b/roll for both.
the golden rule is to not lose any more than 5%
of your roll in any session.
so you don,t want to be losing much more than £12.
if you decide to play nl8
and lose 3 buy-ins,; £24
how will that make you feel?
why not see how u go at nl4
playing 4 tables,if u can increase b/roll a little
then try nl8.
myself,i use the 100 buy-in per level
so at nl4 with a b/roll of approx £400
i could play 6 tables,risking 1% on each table,
so even if i lost 1 buy-in on each
that,s still only 6% of my roll.
so 4 me to play nl8 i would want an £800 b/roll.
(having said that,i did start off with only £50,
so i didn,t always have the 100 buy-ins that i have now.
so i do know how it really does hurt when you do lose
a good proportion of your roll.it can stay with you for some time.
but i do know that now playing with the 100 buy-ins
it won,t ever happen again....thank god)
alot of players would and do play with far smaller b/rolls
than this, but if and when they do lose,
it will hurt them alot more.
sure u will get lots of diferent advice,
so ultimately it will be your choice as and when you move up.
good luck
and best wishes...

From your experiance of playing cash are you a winning or losing player?
If you are a winning player and you can crush the games <10nl then 30 buyin will be fine playing 4 tables.
Start at nl8 when you hit £300 move to nl10.
i'm really quite new to cash and appreciate its a diff game......i'm gonna start 3-4 tabling nl4 and stick to dohhhs thread on it
i will stick to 30-50 buy ins per level as moobs suggests.......i'm a nitty player which i've heard good for the lower levels....see how it goes i guess,
thanks guys, any other cash tips would be appreciated!
Ryan you have got the game to smash Nl4 m8. Play your big hands strong but always bear in mind that people are playing any 2. You will also find many tables where it appears that all raise butons have been disabled, perfect for a man of your calibre to see cheap flops and clean up when you hit.
Best of luck m8.
When you're more confident in your cash game you can try taking shots at the next levels with 20 buyins.
If you do that though, you have to be disciplined to drop back down if you drop down to 16 or so.
