Why limping with AA & 99 is wrong

Just could not believe these hands at showdown,
or my luck, allowed to limp in on the BB with 82o, the nuts, lol.

EDIT: Question is, why would they both limp pre, then min bet and call?

    Is there actually a question? I'd be tempted to jam pre but you prob are a little shallow. Guys with AA and 99 should raise pre

    I agree that limping is awful, in most circumstances. But this? Wow. 

    I mean the button limps with 99 which is bad enough, and the SB is completing with AA..... Why?!  

    I dont understand the logic of either of those plays,
