Multi-tabling

Just wondering how many tables you all like to play?

Since December I've upped my tables massively and have been showing a decent win rate in cash games thru 20/50NL. However last few days I have hit a downswing and found this has turned into a pretty impressive spew rate. Looking back on some hands I can see I haven't been giving myself time to make proper decisions. Holding AK off on a K hi flop and I'm repopped? "I'm all-in...whoops he flopped a set", that type of thing.

I'd been playing 10/12 tables but last couple of sessions have dropped back to 5/6 and found I'm thinking much more clearly about situations, being happier to pass and wait for better spots instead of going insta aggro. I'm thinking I'll ease it back up to a maximum of 8 and leave it there, screen acccomodates that without looking all cluttered and untidy anyway!!

So my question is how many tables do y'all play, what do you find optimal and why??
