The rollercoaster that is (Sky)poker

I played the £100gtd PLO today and bubbled for the 3rd time in my last 4 tries (the 4th one wasn't a cash either). After a horrible bluff gone wrong early I recovered to make the final table. With 4 left I was one of 2 big stacks for a while, but the shorties just kept surviving, including trying to steal with T922 and scooping with a straight. The blinds got higher, my cards got worse, and I finally bubbled when my 3bb shove with A852 was called by 8762 and scooped with a pair of 7s. I may have been slightly tilted.

Then 2 hours later I managed to bink a seat to SPT Brighton for a total outlay of £20.80. This will be my first SPT and first proper live tournament. I'm well chuffed.

Swings and roundabouts.

Giant mate, you were so unlucky in the Hi Lo, I felt for sure that flatfeet was goner on more than one occasion, and I managed to hit some miracles myself.

On the brighter side, well done for making it into the SPT tournament.  I can definately tell you from having attended a few that you will have a great time.  Congrats.

Cheers mate, there was a lot of binking going on. I'm pretty sure the last time I bubbled exactly the same happened, I started bubble play with a good stack but the shorties just kept surviving. PLO8 is such a fun game, but the agony of bubbling is even worse.
