Thanks Daz, So we would have the Old Testament the New Testament & the Testament to Daz (Guide to mtt's not soap powders). Having just set up a dual monitor system I reckon to be able to play more mtt's & put it into practice, as I can check out the lobby whilst in the middle of a game with ease :-) Mike Posted by Woogie8688
LOL can you pass the Daz doorstep challenge
nice one with the dual monitor set up, i hope to get one eventualy when i win a bit more but im using my monitor at the moment with my laptop for the registration lobby as it splits so kinda like a dual monitor. GL with them though mike
Some very nice hands there Dazler. I assume you're still live in the DYM challenge? Gotta say, esepcially with your BR challenge, I'd be tempted to run away with my profit once I got to like level 10-12. You going all the way?
I know the 30p DYM thing has annoyed yuo but there's not much I can really do about it.

hi lambert yea still live on level 9 but now it seems level 8 grrrrr and am a little bit miffed at it as everyone gets a free game and the struggle part of the challenge is getting past the first couple of levels, but if thats whats got to happen i cant do anything about it i suppose. I prob gonna wait and see how everyone else does before attempting level 9 although i might get ichy and go for it today not sure yet. ill prob go all the way if i get that far as the good thing is we can continue playing are normal games which we couldnt do last time, so if i do well in my normal games then its possible.
You have me down though as level 6 live still just so you know

Oh yeah, sorry about that, I meant to update it, I'll do it now.
Really really peed off just was in the £400 velocity was chip leader for whole game get down to last 9 players for bubble i have AQ against player that has half my stack so shove he shows AK then i get AK suited next hand shove and he has J7off and im out no cash. Would anyone play this differently like flat pre or min raise, knowing its on the bubble with 1 to go? I was playing for the win. Really put me on tilt this and happens so often you get big on big cards where you know all the chips are going in at bubble time!
Small blind with AK the guy would have shipped his chips anyway with blinds this big, and even if i did flat he would have shoved to steal with any two as that was what was happening, and premium hands arnt gonna come that often this late on in the torny, after i shoved he did slow roll for a long time and contemplated folding i think,
If i saw a flop and didnt hit i would be wasting 8k or more in chips or if i an A came the chips would of been in also. If i just folded and waited to to cash blinds were 8k and if i go card dead im doomed also. I suppose if i did flat i could of bluffed the low board by min raising and got him to fold or if he shoved on me i could of got away from it.
Yeah I definitely don't wanna get it in there with your stack and the fact the all-in has you covered, considering there's 1 guy at the table with 2.5BBs.

yea easy fold really just put it there as an example. What do you think about the velocity exit play?
Well the AQ v AK is completely standard, don't think you can do anything but open shove with a hand like AQ when you got less than 8BBs and have a chance of adding 12k to your stack even if you don't get called by worse and win which is pretty likely.
Obviously AK when you have less than 2BB is easy shove. The only thing is if you really want a min-cash but I suspect you don't and to be honest, even if you fold, with your stack, there's no guarantee you'll cash anyway. So if you're gonna make a stand that's abuot as good a hand as you can get.
Ok well ive been having a constant bash at the dyms and to be honest im getting a bit bored of them, im not really having a good run on them like the last couple of days and not getting the streaks id like. Similar to devon the £11 ones im just getting demolished on even when im miles ahead like AA being beaten by AK or just silly stuff, i keep going back now and again to see if it changes but its not so staying at the £5 level. Im not playing so well as i normaly would on the £5 ones either at the moment because ive played too much i think and missing playing my favorite choice of mtts. I prob will continue but gonna take a break for a day or so. I havnt had much luck on mtts either and bubbling again a lot even tonight in the main i hit my AQ against A10off after raising pre and post and 3 betting and they hit runner runner 10s for a fh and then i hit a st8 on the flop and get knocked out by flushing hand.
I know it goes that way and im not down a huge amount and can accept the downswings, and my br is still healthy just not making any profit which also is to be expected some days. Ive also been playing in the day time which is a lot harder as aposed to me playing late hours where the players are easier to beat.
Ive also been playing a lot more tables around 4-6 as apose to my usual 2 or 3 which is also a change that could effect things but my C4P has bumped up nicely and should make the 2500 mark by end of month.
But on a good note I did get to level 9 on the DYM challenge and still live so waiting to play the next level when im ready.
here are my dym stats at the moment it did look a lot healther yesterday lol and as you can see its the £11 ones that have done the most damage. But i broke the 100 games mark for the £5 games.
question for dym players, i had this situation on a dym game and put them all in as i had over pks and massive stacks with everyone covered. I was told by two players that i was an idiot and they thought i knew what i was doing! And they would of won that hand. To me i dont think there was anything wrong in it and if they let them selves get that short im not gonna give um a free ride. If the player that was all in didnt hit im sure they would have been happy. I could of possibly doubled up 2 players rather than knocking one out and leaving the other 2 short was a good option. What do you think?

Daz,
I would never call you an idiot my friend, & I am still learning Dym strategy, but I would have thought that the ideal scenario as all 3 callers including yourself were fighting over a virtually dry side pot (30 chips) & the objective of a Dym is not to win it but to be 1 of the 3 remaining players I would suggest that the optimum play would be to check the hand down.
Hi Daz, In my humble opinion ,with that chip stack i would be happy to fold pre-flop. Once that flop comes i would be very wary of someone hitting their straight with a rag ace A3. As Mike says above i would check it down. I know you have them covered but i would fold pre an let them get on with it. With 6000+ chips you needn't play another hand! :-)
ok lets say then that i check it down, player 1 or 2 hits the turn or river with any 2 overcards or flush then bets or shoves so i just gave them that opotunity. The guy with AK wins overal so gets his double tripple up, player 1 or 2 would also win giving them a considerable amount of more chips to play with by doubling up also. I think i can end the game here against the guy that is all in as i was ahead, if i lose against him it aint no worry and ive left the other 2 players short with 2 bb. If they both double up that leaves 1 player with 1k rather than 2 of them with 1k. The way it turned out i knocked out one of the players with the 1k stack next hand. yes i could of just folded pre and let them fight it out but i didnt so still. Not saying its the best move for me to shove just pointing out it wasnt necisarily a bad play and it only would cost me 2 big blinds at that level leaving me with 5k stack either way.

although bit miffed at the 30p level gone so players get a free level which makes a big diffence to the challenge imo
