Being a guest on 865....great experience

Many on here know the script, but for those who don't...

About 2 years ago I was invited to be the dial-in guest on the live show. Having never been on live TV before, I was a bit nervous, as you would be.

A guy called Tony Kendall (who he?) called me an hour before the show to ask if I felt OK and to run me through the questions (when did you start playing on sky....what stakes do you starting paying at... NO swearing and so on!)

Anyway...the night came....I knew that this Tony Kendall guy was watching me...I played the main event and..... and..... managed to come 3rd for a £1,200 quid payout!

If you ever get the chance to be on the show GRAB IT WITH BOTH HANDS. You'll love it and they treat you like royalty.

    i was telephone guest couple years back it was brilliant but like you said I was nervous shaking and everything and I use to work for a call centre for 5 years you would think I would be fine on the phone lol

    but yeah i crashed out the primo 1st 20mins what a letdown I was but the following week i played i came third for £1500 yee haaa but would love to be a guest again.

    i was a phone in guest around 3/4 years ago.. i didnt have a phone call b4 the call just went straight into it :).. crashed out of open with flopped top set vs flush draw which hit. sky were awesome by putting me in the velocity (the best side event of its day). i came 2nd in this for around 600 quid.

    i got one with Ed Giddens (i think) but i was exremely inexperianced and literally folded down to 1BB. error on my part but was purley the experiance. Id fully recommend it to anyone though.

    Would actually love sky to bring the telephone guys back. Was great to watch and even be a player too.
