Morning all

This may seem a daft question but what does the BB part of the equation mean as i thought it was Big blinds per 100 hands, but have seen on other forums as BB been referred to as Big bets per 100 hands?? Plus what sort of figures are we looking at to be deemed as beating/crushing any particular level?
Thanks in advance.

It used to relate to big bets (2 x big blinds) in the game of limit.
Since no limit took over as the most popular game it has come to mean 'big blinds' as 'big bets' really doesn't have much relevance anymore.
So, usually, bb/100 = big bets in limit and big blinds in NL.

It used to be possible to crush games fairly easily at 15+bb/100 but since the average skill level at NL increased so much i would guess that anything over 4bb/100 over a large sample is doing very well and over 7bb/100 is crushing.  It's not an exact science though and everyone will have their own ideas.
At lower levels it's still possible for good players to make well over 15bb/100 due to the average skill level being lower.

Thanks cottlad that makes sense now. Will start to use a spreadsheet to start tracking my results properly.
