So we've been told that  hopefully the resizable tables, and other improvements will come around Aprilish time.

But does Sky have any plans to make their "product" less CPU hungry?/

    Sky Poker Download Client

2% of CPU (hardly CPU intensive)

    98,704k of memory

Essentially 1Mb of RAM used (I have 8GB so hardly memory intensive)

I have 8tabled on stars with zero lag, yet even 3-tabling on Sky results in random lag spikes, occasional auto folding of hands and earlier in a frenz i managed to completely skip my chance to rebuy!

Half a Gig out of 8Gb is nothing

Half a Gig out of 4Gb (standard 32 bit Windows is nothing)

Surely you're forgetting about buffering. When the clock is important I put the BBC website up where they have a clock with second hand . You can time the hands and hands perfectly.

If you need a clock I would suggest using either the download client or the Sky Poker website, both have a clock in the upper right.

The download client seem to use about 150Mb to get running and about 60Mb per additional table.

On my fairly old 3 core AMD 64 bit 2.9 GHz processor just running the app uses <1% CPU.  7 tables used about 34%.

I'm pretty sure the next major iteration of the download client will be a huge leap forward in performance.

Well my PC has 4GB of Ram (although it says 3.5 is usable...) but the processor is a mere 1.3GHz,

Although better computers like yours can handle it with ease it's really annoying how much Sky uses compared to the others :/

So when they introduce resizables and what not the client itself will also be improved???

I would imagine they will introduce changes and improvements much as they have been doing.  With fixes, improvements and performance enhancements being rolled out as they are fully tested.

I don't have any insider information, I wish, this is just from a chat I had with Sky Adam at SPT Luton.

You need to get the micro-drive add on.  Make sure you get it supported with the blue-tak mod though. ;-)
