    1)On the bubble = fold

    2) just fold, shortstacks will call this too wide against you, could easily have a better hand too, you have a just about playable stack too

    3) tough spot having only 1k, I doubt he's ever folding. He has 3.6k so if he's not an idiot will only be in the hand with a decent holding, or if he is an idiot calling light, wouldn't even fold 67suited for another 700 chips lol. However, if you fold you either have to shove next hand UTG or Pray you win in the BB.

I think shove is probably actually the best play here, even if you fold and magically get a blind steal through you will still be very understacked, so taking what is probably a flip to potentially win 2.5k would be my plan

    4)Standard

    5) better leave it to someone who grinds them properly, this spot sucks

    6) I would have gone broke well before the river, when shortstacked that's a greaaaatttt flop, need to be getting some value in there.

    7) When people raise half their stack instead of shoving they're usually very strong eg AA KK QQ AK etc you unless you have specific reads that he is this kind of oppo you have to shove

    8) In an £11 DYM, I'd prefer a squeeze pre as being a bit aggro pays off, in a £5 DYM I like how you played it, you'd normally have a load of FE, winning the pot there and then brings you back to 2k, if he calls you still have decentish equity vs most of his hands

    9) You gotta go broke IMO

    10) Standard, ul (his call is very bad though)

    11) Other oppo has 3k? yeh gotta shove IMO

Pick me apart people who actually grind DYMs!!!

    At first glance,

    hands 1 + 3 + 6 are folds

    hands 4 + 7 + 8 + 9 + 10 are standard ul

Shanxta's much better than me :/ ignore what I said and listen to him!

My record's not too bad though :P

@SHANXTA could you please read my post and show me my thought process mistakes : )
I'll never grind them properly but I do play them occasionally

1 = I think there's a case for shoving, I probably shove but tbh, folding is probably the better play :S

2 = UL to be dominated, but I think it's a fold. Opponent is calling quite wide here, and J9 doesn't play brilliantly against his range.

3 = Awkward spot with the limper. You know he's never folding for another 700 once you've limped for 300, so I might find a fold here, and shove ATC UTG next hand. Depends how much he's been limp/folding previously, but generally, I think this is a fold.

    4 = Standard

5 = Pretty standard, folding isn't terrible, shoving isn't terrible either. I probably favour shoving with A9 to folding at that stage.

    6 = Easy fold pre.

7 = Fold IMO as the raise is from UTG. UTG raiser has shown strength, he's never folding, 10's are almost always either flipping or behind in them kind of spots. Everyone always says "I hate Jacks", but 10's are a million times worse. I'd rather shove ATC from the cutoff next hand than shove the 10's here. FWIW, I think JJ is a probably a shove in that spot, but 10's go in the muck for me.

8 = With stack sizes, I think as played, this is standard, UL that opponent had a set this time. Jamming pre would probably be slightly better than just checking IMO.

9 = WTF is villain doing in the pot with 68 in a DYM? UL, and make note on opponent.

10 = Standard, UL. I'm not too keen on the villain's call with AJ in a DYM, it's not terrible but it's not great either.

11 = Standard with stack sizes, UL.

Cheers for input, here's mine -

    1.  6 bigs, blinds will be going through me and I am secound shortie

I  have an ace on the btn, gotta be ahead of ss sb and bb can’t call without a            premium hand – surely I can’t fold but maybe I should as I am placing myself in a bad spot

    2.     2. bvb , I gotta smash this oppo about – me or him ? Maybe being too aggro given I am very likely going to be called and if called will be beaten

    3.      3. I have a pair, not loving it but only got 3  bigs, maybe should fold with no FE I am racing at best

    4.     4. co 10’s 9 bigs, can’t raise, can’t fold = shove

    5.      5. mp A9, 5 bigs – can I fold ?

    6.     6. decide to pop btn w/K7, flops good, c/c bluff catching on good run out all day w/reads, what 2 pair -

    7.     7. btn 10’s 4 bigs, how do I fold – open is obvious hand – should know oppo only ever has premium – should fold but because I only have 4 bigs I shove

    8.     8. Gonna ship pre but 2 limps, thought one would call – flop = get em in

    9.     9. Should of folded turn, but couldn’t – had outs – may have had other holdings

    10. 10. Just sux

    11. 11. Ace btn 4 bigs – shove

Maybe certain spots I am placing myself in danger while being too aggro, but don’t think being aggro is a bad thing

    I should fold more, obviously

Don’t think I am doing that much wrong :S

    1. I would possible open fold here unless the BB is being a wimp and will fold to the sb. if he doubles b4 it gets to you then get light.

    2. same as above

    3. insta fold

    4. Shove, unlucky he had KK

    5. fold its still 6 handed

    6. Consider folding pre. Fold the river to all in. Your hand is weak and he's repping a strong K or better.

    7. Consider folding your a race at best he's UTG and he's commited. It's still 6 handed there would be better spots.

    8. Call min or fold, push the turn if you hit your draw, k or 10. You should never be pushing a draw here.

    9. Fold your 6 handed and he is most likely on the draw.

    10. Very unlucky.

    11. If shanxta wasnt a short stack then it's a push. Unlucky he had ak.

It looks like you are to aggro earlier on when it's still 5-6 handed and your not hit by the blinds often. You need to pick your spots here on who can fold and why rather than purely what hand you have.

Also seems you are to light on the bubble in some spots when someone else is shorter than you. Let the shorter players take on the big stacks if you can or be blinded out, if he catches up then try and get him all in aganst you or bully the mid stacks for blinds.

    Thanks for your input

8 of these are shoves, only one I go in ahead AKvAJ
While I may say I am UL to run into better hands, maybe I need to look at these situational spots
Run some ICM on these hands and the majority are fine shoves based on perceived calling ranges

My calling ranges for oppo may be too narrow, if I widen calling range then I should narrow my shoving range-
Vice versa if oppo calling range is narrow then I can widen my shoving range.

    Does this make sense :S

I just hate being blinded down

I wouldnt rely on ICM to much as it can be very wrong and too wide as its a DYM. On the bubble it's absolutely fine to be on a shoving range that lowers your equity whilst there are shorter stacks there. I know that sounds stupid but because your not going for the win you can afford to be negative and slowly go down until someone slips up and it ends or the short stack catches up. At the most you should be looking to break even if the gap between the short stack and you isn't massive.

Not sure what ranges you have people on specifically but generally the big/short stacks are wider on the BB and the mid stacks that can't afford to take a hit are very tight. The short stacks are always much tighter and easy to push through outside of the blind if your on the bubble. I'm always in favour of shoving the mid stacks BB's if you can even if it means pushing through an extra person unless your pushing through a big stack aswell.

if this is true then it's an obv fold, however it's not

he has ~6 bigs, flatting is bad, he has fold equity and when he does get called often has 2 overs along with the draw, standard shove

i don't see how being 6 handed is too relevent, the flop went HU, there are other hands he can have other than a flush

    1. Fold pre as sb has less

    2. dunno very marginal so probably a fold altho i dont like donating to shortie, maybe if u think he folds sometimes here then its a shove

    3. Seems unlucky but its not id fold we have no FE and at best will be flipping, wait for a better spot

    4. Cooler UL

    5. Yer again fine ul

    6. I think well played up to river though, unless u think he can bluff cant really call. Cos ur stack may even just fold pre depending on blind read

    7. this is a real tough spot because i know the villain is the tightest player in the world literally yesterday i shoved 95% of hands vs him over 10 games he didnt call once so him opening always has it here. No reads its a cooler though.

    8. Fine UL

Cant be @rsed to read more sorry maybe later, too many hands for one thread

Can i jus ask you always seem to be short in shoving spots so must be other problems when you get to shoving time you should have around 2k really most the time.

In Response to Re: DYM hands - £5 Level - : if this is true then it's an obv fold, however it's not he has ~6 bigs, flatting is bad, he has fold equity and when he does get called often has 2 overs along with the draw, standard shove i don't see how being 6 handed is too relevent, the flop went HU, there are other hands he can have other than a flush

Without specific reads the majority of hands an opponents going to push here are 2 overs or better. Even with just one over it's a 70/30 and he's almost never folding. It's better to just fold here than take a flip.

He's pushing into 2 oppo, one who's has already bet they can find plenty of calls on the board. Even if one calls with A-junk he's still only 55% ish for a double up. I suppose flatting isn't great but he'd have a better idea of where he stood on the turn. If he folds and pushes another hand pre or just pushes the k10 pre he can get more fold equity than on the flop.

The fact he is 6 handed still and the blinds are low makes a big diff. The blinds hit less and he can still recover his stack plenty before it's even near the bubble. Why take such a risk even if he has the best hand 75% of the time he'd be losing 25% of games in this spot so early on without gaining enough equity back.

    1. Fold pre as sb has less 2. dunno very marginal so probably a fold altho i dont like donating to shortie, maybe if u think he folds sometimes here then its a shove 3. Seems unlucky but its not id fold we have no FE and at best will be flipping, wait for a better spot 4. Cooler UL 5. Yer again fine ul 6. I think well played up to river though, unless u think he can bluff cant really call. Cos ur stack may even just fold pre depending on blind read 7. this is a real tough spot because i know the villain is the tightest player in the world literally yesterday i shoved 95% of hands vs him over 10 games he didnt call once so him opening always has it here. No reads its a cooler though. 8. Fine UL Cant be @rsed to read more sorry maybe later, too many hands for one thread Can i jus ask you always seem to be short in shoving spots so must be other problems when you get to shoving time you should have around 2k really most the time.

in hand 1 surely big blind should be snapping with any 2 once sb calls?

Yes but sadly some players are very new to poker let alone optimal DYM strategy ;)
