    hi mick,
    thanks mate.
i don,t really see any dif between the 2 levels tbh
the dif comes when/if u move up to £3.
if i get the choice i would load up @ £2
only because you win more than £1.
at the £3 level the play is better, arguably,
also,if u have a bad night you can easily lose between
    £20-£45.as i can tell you.
    i loaded up 1x£3 last night by mistake;
on the bubble ended up all-in with aq
    got called by a6...lovely.
    came a66.
obviously not too impressed,as it is a £6 swing.

    anyway....
you still on that winning roll ?

    cheers mate,
    :-)

    Cheers buddy,
May load up a mix of £1 and £2 tables later and see how it goes.

Had a mixed day yesterday, won 4 lost 3 in the short time i had.

I know the feeling about loading up wrong tables.
When i first joined the site i loaded up a Omaha table and wondered why i got dealt 5 cards ! haha
still managed to cash though! :-)

    Hi Devon

Thinking of trying the DYMs myself , just a couple quick questions, do u play at the 1.15 and 2.25 6 handed games ? Over the volume you play doesnt the rake hit hard ? Would it not be better in the 3.30s or as you say is your main objective at least for now, to avoid the £6 swings that a 3.30 would give you.
I admire your determination mate !

@Oopnorth - Yep the rake below the £3.30's is pretty awful and for that reason you want to avoid it at all costs, however if your roll is less than say £80-90 it can be very high variance to try the £3 level as you can drop a chunk of money quite quickly playing perfect poker.

For me I wouldn't start any lower than the £2.25 level and as a starting roll of £50 should see you fine.

    hi Oopnorth,
    re trying dym,s yourself,
    good luck.
    i was playing @ £3.30 b4 i withdrew £400
to treat myself to a new pc a couple of weeks ago.
my b/roll then dropped to £90,
so i purposely dropped down to the £1.15 & £2.25 levels.
as i had played these levels b4 i moved up to £3.30,
and won there, admittedly i only played a few sessions.
yes, the rake is higher but then again the levels are that bit easier
    so i think that compensates 4 it,imo.
the rake is also only a factor when you lose anyway,
so as long as you can win each or at least most sessions,
the rake is not a problem.

    so,
    example,
    from my £90 new b/roll,
    playing @ £1.15 and £2.25 levels
    i got b/roll up to £190(inc feb c4P) in a weeks play.
i then made the mistake of withdrawing another £100
    leaving me with £90 again.
    playing that same evening,after withdrawing,
i then got hammered and lost £28.70
my only loss so far playing £1.15 & £2.25.(thanks sky!!!)

    had i been playing @ £3.30,
how much more i would have lost!!!
    so depending on your b/roll,
i would say you need to be able to lose at least 10 buy-ins
    for that level,so min £20,4 £2.25 level
and not lose any sleep over it!!!

also,i would add that the more tables you can play the better,
    as anything under 6 imo,is a struggle.
as a good number of dym,s will come down to a flip,50/50
the more you play and the more that you can cash in,b4 a flip,
    obviously the better.
    i am playing 9 atm,
but have just been adding the 10th &11th tables.
my aim is to play 18/20 in time!!!

    another thing you should consider,
the levels do get tougher the higher you go,
    arguably?
    well the losses certainly will.
and even with the lower levels having a higher rake,
you still need to be winning at whatever level you play,
    b4 moving up.
a good guide i use is trying to win 2 out of 3 games.
if u can do that u will beat any level!!!

hope some of this may be of some use.
probably see you at those tables.
    good luck mate...
    :-)

    ps,
    have you read;
"ABC of DYM,s by john connor"?
it is a great read 4 playing dym,s,
you can find it in general poker chat section,
    somewhere?

    Great diary Dev,

I also grind the DYM's but can only currently 6 table due to playing on a 4yr old 15.5" Dell laptop.

So I'm going to get a new desktop soon aswell - do you manage to fit all 12 tables on just one screen? Or do you have two monitors? If so, which do you have?

Don't worry too much about your downswing, I'm on a big one atm & it's all part of the fun - looks like you've got a great win rate overall and getting to £3.30 level will be even better4u because of that reduced rake so best of luck with it.

    hi Priyesh,
    thanks mate.
    i do have 2 monitors,a 23" & 27".
i am atm playing 12 tables on the 27"
    in mini-view,
i can easily fit 3 along top & middle rows
then i over lap the middle 3 slightly with the bottom row of tables.
it takes a little getting used to,
but it really isn,t a problem at all.
i use the 23" for the lobby and loading of tables
so this then doesn,t interfear with playing
    oh,
    that,s just the 9 tables,isn,t it,sorry.
    to play
12,u need to add another to each row.(4 acrossx3 down)
again there is an overlap, but again i soon got used to it.
i believe that the new smaller size tables
are supposidly on their  way soon,
so hopefully should make things a little easier.

you could with 2 monitors play 6 tables on each,
which i have done,in the past.
but being 2 diferent size monitors  isn,t ideal.

i have only just bought this pc  i am on now, a couple of weeks ago,
it is great,an i7 so very powerfull.
all the details,if u r interested you can find in one of my earlier posts,
    (in general poker chat,go to page 12(atm)under "trying 2 cash @ nl4",on page 10.)
i think just about any monitor will do,
but i would go as big as u can afford,

    best wishes
    :-)

Ok cool - I was thinking of getting 2 x 22/24" monitors so will prob do that.

I don't think Sky are going to bring smaller tables, just re-sizeable ones? i could be wrong about this.

I will try2get a new system by next month if I can - would be great to 12 table! :)
