Is James on the analyists roster. If not i would like to recommend him. It is like having three analyists on the show tonight, with a great knowledge of poker.
Lookalike - David Vamplew and Daniel Radcliffe in Harry Potter movies. I personally hate those movies and feel bad for pointing out this resembelance, but David took enough of my money back in the day at Edinburgh Uni poker society!
thankyou for showing the hand with the AK vs KK and AQ.. i wanted to ask if i was right to call for the bounties do to the extra value that was added to it, due to the heads available.
Enjoying watching the show now that i'm out of both BH ME & Mini bh(cashed tho), had been listening while playing.
My Question for Simon is
Simon there are loads of different types of poker, so if you had to play a 6 max table, and the other 5 players would be from say No Limit , stud, cash, razz & Pot Limit who would you choose?
Hi James, Tikay and Simon, great show as usual. Q for Simon, in Dec 2004 you played in a Tourney in St. Maarten, as i also did. I was introduced, allegedly, to Chris Moneymaker at a welcome party but am convinced it was a lookalike ( much trimmer than the original). Do you remember the tourney and was Moneymaker actually there? Also did you cash and do you still wear those black speedos?
Not sure if the transformer blew in response to tikay's mildy obscene hand gesture or Simon Trumper's 117th plug for DTD.
Sadly, I didn't get the chance to put all your questions to Simon. But, as he was such a great guest, I'm sure he'll be back on channel 865 soon. Plugging DTD.
Hi JH I just wanted to say that i thought that Simon Trumer was a special guest for me on the shows last night. As a relative novice(8 months) he really got through to me with his analysis and stories. The relative stack sizes, your position, tournamant time, number of players in pot really can be as important as the cards you are dealt. I've had some success on the site but have found myself in MTT's with a large stack in the third quartile but sat waiting for a premium hand. By the time it comes my stack is small so the bet is all-in and my opponent with QT gets the right price and sucks out. I walk away with a bad beat story and injustice tilt!!! A looser attitude and looking for the right spots with the correct bet size is more profitable in both senses, i now realise. All i need is the courage. That snooker story with Tikay was just sooo funny too and Tikay's face as well as Simon's stifled giggling off camera should be included in a highlights show of 'Tikayisms'. Talking of suggestions how about Sky finding two or three relative novices(no names mentioned) with time to put in to study and give them some lessons online, enter them into some T's and ring them during and after a show where their play is analysed as well as their statistics in order to see if they've improved. This would both attract new players to the site and progs as well as giving regulars a chance to be correct in their analysis. They love to be right. That progression is measurable in some ways as these players should have statistics and results for say, six to nine months previously. You could even have different training methods say books v online software like sitandgo wizard v online coaching. Anything that brings people to the site is good, right? I've personally tried to get some advice recently even contacting Jakally on the programme and mailing TommyD on the the forum for the correct 'path' and priorities to improve but without a reply from him so far. He comes across very well in his diaries and seems o try to answer all q's so i'm hopefulThis would help me and others to see what 'route' to take. We want to play but losing can be off-putting at times without the odd success and some feeling of advancement. I've enjoyed the site so far and don't play anywhere else at the moment. Keep up the good work. cheers Steve aka profman15

Thanks for the kind words, Steve.
Obviously, we'll continue to discuss MTT strategy on the live shows, with episodes of Sky Poker School aimed at beginners, intermediate and advanced players. Hopefully, you'll continue to pick-up key concepts from our in-house experts and guest analysts.
I think the best way of tracking one's progress, and getting (honest) feedback on your play, is to start a diary on the forum. With so many players now doing this, it wouldn't be surprise me if, somewhere down the line, the Sky Poker TV Channel develops a programme based around these public journals!

Great show. I think Simon reminds me of The Hood out of Thunderbirds. I hope I haven't offended him.
