going to be polite as i can but this has said before stop these dam pop-ups in middle off screen, before you say phone c/care i did and reply was can`t do anything now as it`s late so send e,mail about it, this is where all forum users send e.mail and post here to stop below coming up in middle off screen

    It is a bit silly, especially as said before if you get pop ups when typing up long messages. Surely theres an alternative, leave it in chat box if you have to, make a massive banner on the home page, list it on every forum sub post if you must but stop the pops up SKY eh.

    Pop-ups are ridiculous - I can understand pop-ups for one-off promotions, but the happy hour ones are so annoying. I write every forum post on Notepad and just cut/paste it onto the forum now.

     2 points need to be addressed on this thread.


     Firstly the pop-ups are extremely annoying and surely by now totally irrelevant and meaningless due to the amount of times they have already been done and the sure knowledge that everyone who even cares about it must know by now.


     Secondly. The unfounded and unwarranted attack on TKP. This is a grossly unfair attack on the ORIGINAL team here on sky poker. They are a group of extremely intelligent and talented people*. I also have proof that on at least one occasion a member of this team was sober and behaving in a perfectly normal way**

      * Some of this may not be true and if it is then only for a given value of intelligence and talent
     ** Admittedly it was 7-30 in the morning and they were ill at the time but it is proof nonetheless.

    i like them, it gives me something to read again andagain and again while trying to multi table, like i havnt got enough to be looking out for!!!
    ps i hold my hand up, i was the only sober one in tkp last night but it was due to working on a bridge over a railway line (although i did have a cheeky beer when i got in a 6 am :-)  )

    Hi everyone,

    I can see your point. If you are a frequent visitor to the site and are idle for long periods of time then I can agree that the popups must get quite annoying. You have to remember that there are people within the player-base who only log on perhaps once or twice a week for a couple of hours and wish to make the most of their playtime: thus, where the popups come in. It really seems to be the more active members who are most upset about them (which makes sense).

    I think the best solution would be able to give each person the opportunity to 'opt-out' of these sorts of advertisements. That way people who don't want to see them don't have to and we can still advertise the HH.

    The only downside to this I can see it that we don't just use the lobby popups for HH advertisements. Site messages as well as special promotional mesages are also distributed via this medium so if you choose to opt out from them and don't receive the messages you might want to.. well that's not good either!

    I think there has to be a happy medium and I'll have a chat with the rest of the crew and pass on your concerns. Perhaps this is something that we might see in the future. I'll be sure to keep you updated whatever the outcome is.

    thank you for reply sam, the problem i had was 11pm HH, the 1pm and 6pm was fine pressed done and was gone never to be seen again, but the 11pm everytime i pressed done it kept comng back and freezing what ever forum i was on, so logged out come back and their it is again ?? this was going on for the hour promotion was on, so had to wait till midnite before i could write in forum, by this time i was too annoyed and so i won`t play as i`ve learnt my lesson from playing annoyed/tilted
