Bubble Play - Forum Poll

Hi all,

As I'm sure you're all sick of hearing, I've missed out on getting an SPT quite a few times recently, bubbled twice and came very close quite a few more times. Some of this I think I can put down to just being unlucky but I gotta consider the possibility that I'm making mistakes at these stages so I thought I'd get people view's on satellite bubbles...

Let me set the hypothetical scenario, satellite, 8 seats going 9 people left, blinds are 500/1000 (just so I can work out the number of BBs easy lol). The standings are currently:

1st = 22,000
2nd = 19,000
3rd = 17,000
4th = 15,000
5th = 15,000
6th = 12,000
7th = 10,000
8th = 10,000
9th = 9,000     (you're 9th)

Please pick an option for what you think your next move is/what's your gameplan at this stage. Please post if you have a different opinion to an options or if you just wanna go into a bit more detail. Let's assume we're on the 5handed table.

Also would appreciate thoughts on how you think this plays out if you're in a similar situation (same number of blinds, still last place) but with 10 or 11 players left (still 8 seats going)

Disclaimer:
All my moaning will stop now because I've decided that my time is better spent grinding the cash where I know I can win, to grind up an amount where I can try to get on the alternates list at Brighton, so no more satellites bubbles for a little while.

    depends on your position but if you pick up premium hand im shoving then sitting tight if i win. No one will call you if they arnt holding something special so you steal at the least and leave decision for next short stack guy to tussle. You may not get another chance if you dont.

    If all you get is rubbish thats a different story id prob just wait and get blinded out lol.

    That's one thing I'm asking about, like is it key to get yourself out of last place so the decision is on someone else or can you sometimes be too eager to get out of last place when it's perfectly believable that 7th and 8th place will knock each other out?

    Its never perfectly believable in this game! sometimes its right to wait if players are shoving all in or raising every round so they can knock each other out, but what happens if the low stack shoves and doubles up then your left with rubbish hands and find you end up shoving with rubbish and get knocked out. Even if you are able to steal 1half blinds in a round after you shove. It gives you one more circulation until the bb again to see if you get a premium hand or for another player to go out.
