Best wishes to Sky-Bernie, who had a hip replacement last week, but being a typically dour Yorkshireman, never once complained, & hopes to be back at work very soon.

It is not widely appreciated, but Bernie , who will be 80 this year, is one of the cleverest funniest men you could ever wish to meet, proper legend.

    My attention has been drawn to a factual inexactitude in my opening Post - Bernard is from Headquarters - Lancashire - not Yorkshire. Apologies for the grossly offensive insult to all Lancastrians.
