Evening all!

Here are the topics we're going to be discussing on tonight's Chat Box at 10pm. Feel free to post your thoughts below and join in!

1.         The DTD Super-Sized Deepstack event in Nottingham got an unbelievable 648 runners, although this included “re-entries”. are re-entries a good thing for poker? The DTD also saw Devilfish's personalised car, but which car would best suit other famous poker players?

2.        SPT Brighton and Glasgow:  Who’s going/ playing? How are you getting on in the satellites?

3.        Epic Poker League. Can a 'pro-only' tour ever work?

4.        Are you plaing in James Hartigan’s ARL? How are you finidning the structure?

5.        Phil Ivey breaks cover & plays his first Live Tournament since Black Friday. Is he still a hero, or now a villain, of poker?

6.        Viva Las Vegas Qualifications have started three players are through to the Final already. Are you playing? What level would you buy into. Any questions for Ryan in the studio, as a Viva Las Vegas Pro!

7.        ALL IN – THE POKER MOVIE (In America). Will it be better than 'Maverick' starring Mel Gibson?

8.        Tikay- video blogs: Who needs Daniel Negreanu’s video blogs when Tikay is going to do his own version. What do you want to see him discuss/rant about?

Didn't Phil Ivey start playing live tournaments again a couple of months ago? I read somewhere (please don't ask me to find it for you) that he was playing tournaments out in the far east, to keep out of the glare of western poker media. Doesn't suggest that he's had a very stormy reception in those if you're now saying he's coming back to play more high-profile events.

"Phil Ivey, widely considered poker’s best player, has returned to the live tournament scene, months after the online poker site he represented was accused of financial crimes. He entered the Asian Pacific Poker Tour Macau main event on Wednesday.

The eight-time bracelet winner has been off the poker radar since April 15’s indictments against operators of the major offshore poker companies"

There you go. Found that on Cardplayer.com dated November 23 2011.

I know people who worked on the Epic Poker TV shows, so I take no delight in seeing this concept fail.

However, I predicted, as did many others, that Epic would be dead within 12 months of its launch.

Not because of its ranking system and 'all-pro' line-up.

But because, without the existence of on-line sponsorship / advertising in the US market, there was no way for it to make any money!
