Hi guys,
need your input on when is it good, statistically to ship sb into bb, re nicking and shipping with any two.
This is a good hand to actually discuss, regardless of the fact that I have a monster.

Take this factor out.How many times in this position will one wake up with a premium, and is it therefore good to ship from the sb to pinch a fairly good size blinds?
BB range is obviously fairly narrow , being only 14 bb deep and any call is for tournament life v 33+bb's villain

From the pushers perspective does the reward  justify the risk at this stage of the tourney, which is pretty deep and not far off the big reward? (34 players left from 524 starting field),
or does the math say standard play? And worth picking up 1600 + own 800 (2400) to add to 57k? Or you run into monster (odds please) and lose nearly half your stack, and end up in push mode from there on in?

Would really appreciate some good stats on this one.

His pushing range will depend on what he perceives your calling range to be.

Obviously the tighter you call, the wider he can push, and the wider you call, the tighter he will push......

I'd imagine you're gonna be calling alot tighter than the table below suggests, so he can get away with shoving so many hands here bvb.

    Stacks: 14.0 BB

    PlayerRange
    SB Push48.4%: 22+,Ax+,K2s+,K5o+,Q4s+,Q9o+,J5s+,J9o+,T6s+,T8o+,95s+,98o,85s+,87o,75s+,64s+
    ,54s,J8o(27.0%)
    BB Call29.3%: 22+,Ax+,K6s+,K9o+,Q9s+,QTo+,JTs,K8o(21.6%)

Edit^ - obv in his position pushing or folding aren't the only 2 options available.

Again it will depend on what he thinks of you, as to wether min raise folding or min raise/calling off are better than just open shoving or open folding......

If he thinks you are capable of 3b jamming wide he can min raise then call off with a wide range of hands.

If he thinks you're only ever 3b jamming for value, he can min raise then fold with almost any 2.

If he thinks you're likely to call a min raise from 14xbb, then his line will depend on his post flop reads on how you play....

He should be thinking about all the above when deciding what play to make with diff hands, but jamming wide isn't a bad option against most players.

I'm never raise/folding from a 14bb stack on the SB in a blind vs blind pot. I'll be open shoving any pair, any A, any 2 broadway, any suited king, suited connectors from 67 up. The only hands I might raise are premiums to induce a re-shove. Good opponents would correctly read my raise as stronger than a shove, if I put the BB in that category I'd open shove the premiums too to disguise their strength.

I got a load of verbal in a tourney here from a fairly well known winning player (I won't be naming him) after shoving K9s into his BB from the SB with 12BB effective stacks. He had TT, I binked a K to bust him. This guy spent 15 minutes in the chatbox calling me an idiot, saying I was a disgrace to Team51 etc etc lol. To me it was a totally standard play.

With 34 left you're still quite a way from the big prizes (top 10) so there are no pay jumps to affect push/fold ranges. If this was deeper (10 or less left) ICM would come into play and I'd probably tighten up my range somewhat.
