You want him to call your raise because 9/10 you`re gonna win.
Not to be this time. Run better & gl.
Even top players don't escape variance. Look at James Atkin's scope numbers: I think his ROI is about 14%. He's miles better than the players he's playing against but his edge is only worth 14%. It's hard to win at poker.
its a horrible, sick, annoying game but i love it haha
Thanks again for all your feed back, i appreciate it im just going to have to keep playing and learning
Do any of you know a site that i can check out that gives you advice on hands to raise with and how much in certain position and stack sizes?
Hand History #492189192 (19:36 14/03/2012)
Stop moaning about bad players and realise you want to play versus bad players
If you understand this then that's half the battle won
"yeah man he called me with btm pair omg wtf he hit two pair on the river!"
If I told you that every hand you play you will get it in good, then surely this is good
Even though a small percentage of the time you WILL lose
For instance, if you have £80 and play 5p/10p, getting 2 bad beats that mean you lose 2 BIs (£20) is gonna hurt quite a bit, whereas if you we're playing 2p/4p, then beats would be £8 and you'd have more than enough to ride out the variance (assuming it's just variance and you do actually know what you're doing).
Also, I noticed the hands you've posted are chips, not cash, so I dunno if you're playing SnGs or MTTs but if it is tourneys then you need to realise that variance in MTTs can be a killer and you could easily go 20 in a row without cashing regardless of how good you are, so if you're playing £5 tourneys, you could easily be £100 down through no major fault of your own.
