This is a very small point but at the Alea, tables upstairs there was no clock at the SPT just for future ref,any comments,

So, point taken, but the lack of clock was the least of my problems!
No Clock
Using Standard Alea chips! - I play at Alea every week with these chips, what is to say I couldn't have added some at some point!
Before anybody asks when would it have been possible for me to do this?
When my upstairs table was broken I was sent down to my new table, not escorted, just stroll down and find new table, could have gone via toilet, outside smoking areas, could have popped out to my car in the car park, nobody would have been any the wiser! It states in tournament rules that when moving tables your chips must be visible at all times, so no putting in pockets etc, Alea tournament staff failed to ensure this.
I'm not suggesting anybody in a SPT event would do this but it's just not a way to run a major sponsors tournament.
Lights - It would be nice to be able to see without straining eyes!
Size of Tables upstairs - The tables were tiny
All really little things, i feel the Alea could improve so much if they concentrated on attention to detail!

In fairness to Tighty and co. I think they are having to work with the best of a bad bunch as regards pokering casinos in Central Scotland.
Gala casinos in Glasgow and Edinburgh either dont have the capacity or ability to successfully host one of these events.(Maybury pies anyone?) and the Mint in Glasgow has access issues.
Genting Fountainpark probably could make a decent job of it but, for reasons which currently escape me, they are not interested.
This would then leave the two Grosvenor casinos in Aberdeen and Dundee but they both pose additional travelling issues.
All in all it is not an easy one to solve.
Maccol is correct. Running third party events in Scotland is not easy, at all.
One issue I disagree with is chips. Most SPT events run with the venue's regulation chips, often used across a number of casinos in that group
The only way to solve the faint risk that someone from Leeds may care so much as to put chips in his pocket and put them in the glasgow event, for example, is to have our own Sky Poker chips. This is an option for the future but is an extra cost both in purchase and transporting.
This is in no way a criticism of Sky Poker or Tighty, they are all things the casino should be enforcing
They should have escorted players moving tables
Could venues (multi million pound casino chains) not have special tour chips?

Maybe Im showing my age !
Thanks to all at Sky Poker for a great day looking forward to the next one!
I was allowed to tweet from 4 of them, I was told not to by a female dealer at 1 of them
There was no consistency between tables
I don't tweet hand details, if phones can be used for music players why can't they be used for Twitter, games etc?
Its a funny subject that will only get worse with ipads etc
Personally thought it was a decent tourney. One guy was even watching a film on an iPad and playing hands. thought that was ridiculous. The only thing i was disappointed about was the fact I got papped upstairs and out the road of the cameras!
