One of the best day/nights i've had for a long time - FACT!!!

Morning/Evening All!!!

Better late than never to start my first proper post.

Just got back home from G Casino and i still CANNOT believe i made the final table and finished 5th overall and bagged £1,050!!!

At the start of the day i set a target to still be in the tourney when the buffet break came around and that was looking like that was not going to happen as i was down to around 1500 midway through level 2 i think but then a few hands later i end up getting quad 3's and still to my shock and suprise as we speak, i never looked back from that hand and my stack got bigger and bigger and bigger and the rest as they say is history and for my FIRST EVER live tourney, little old me did rather well!!

Like it says in my thread title, this has been one of the best day/nights i've had for a long time and i just like to send my personal thanks to everyone i played against/chatted to/drunk with and the whole of Sky Poker team for making the experience so memorable.

Finally and i really do mean what i'm about to say and i hope everyone reading this will agree that in my honest opinion, Tikay is probably one of the finest ambassadors this game has to offer aswell as being a perfect gentlemen and a seriously top bloke and i thought you did a superb job as Floor Manager/Tourney Referee whatever you want to call it.

Once again huge thanks to EVERYONE for making it such a brilliant day and i hope to see you all somewhere down the line at another live SPT event!.

Ciao for now!

I couldn't have put it better myself.  The day/night surpassed all my expectations.  Like you it was my first proper live tourney and my aim was to make the buffet break!!  I was very pleased to cash and I can't wait to play my next live tourney!!

Mrs B and I tipped either you or Maggiesdad to win...shame you couldn't go on to take it down but over £1k for a day's work ain't bad!

Looking forward to playing you all on the site in the future.

    Hi CT,

Congratulations on cashing at your first tournament, even though you knocked me out on the bubble!!

Have to agree with all your comments, it was very enjoyable and definitely
makes me want to play more live poker.

So, maybe I will see you at another event

For me that final table contained a VERY STRONG lineup and ok both myself and Maggiesdad were the top 2 going into the final table, there was certainly no guarentee that either of us were going to win it overall.

Apologies to yourself Stewart with knocking you out of the tourney on the bubble but the number of times i folded big hands thinking i'd be a real underdog throughout most of the tourney i had to make a big move if i was going to get a cash which i did.

Certainly hope to see you at another event.

    Well played CT.

It looked throughout that you really enjoyed that, and I think you looked a terror to play against.

Now you have the live poker "bug" see you at Leg 2 in Newcastle!

    Sir,

I cannot tell you how much those words mean to me. Thank you.

I just want folks having a good time, & to see how much fun Live poker really is, when played by decent people. And you were all "decent people".

    You have made my day.

    Hi Mr and Mrs B

It was an absolute pleasure to have met the pair of you and i just soooooo want to do it all over again and adapt the same attitude when i first entered G Casino on Saturday to enjoy myself, play the game in a gracious and sporting manner, survive the buffet break lol and then take it from there and see what happens and don't pull my face if i don't get a cash!.

I have to say after my exploits on Saturday, i feel my game has improved for the better (I managed to get a cash in last night's £5k bounty hunter and to get back to back cashes for me is a rarity lol!!) and i know in myself that i can improve my game even more so happy days!!!.

There is also one word that features quite a lot in my life and that's RESPECT and the levels that were seen between players/Sky Poker crew/G Casino Staff were really good to see and that's why the whole tourney in my eyes was an overall success!!.

I just hope that when i left the building that i left a good mark with you all and that i had a likeable reputation and came across well!.

    All the best,
    Craig
