If you are thinking of folding then you may as well of shoved or folded pre imo otherwise why min raise cos you obv want a customer.

The plan was for shorty to shove over me but that plan didn't work clearly, you think open shove pre would be better ?

Understand what you mean, just think if you shove takes any tricky decisions out the way and you still have decent stack compared to shortie. Also villain might know you have reputation for being tight(no disrespect)so may be playing on that.Although as played I shove.

    What are you doing?

min raising pre is just terrible if you dont stack off now

    dunno what you are thinking!

Its the easist ship in the world preflop!

Nothing to see here, you running bad or something - get em in pre, flop, turn or river - never fold )

Well I probably over thought this one preflop trying to get shorty to stack off and didn't count on big stack making awful flat pre, suffice to say I did shove pretty certain I was ahead and he flipped KJ and caught up...sigh.

But yeah should have had it in pre )

I think you need at least 20 bb to be doing these intricate raises and min raise only works when they prize money means something to your opponents.

When you have under 15 BB I think I would be open shoving here. If you have 5BB and you min raise it looks like you have a massive pair because you are commiting to go all in but your not actually all in. People with slightly weaker hands would just shove, although your opponent is clearly not thinking this way.
