Three cheers for Orford

Had the pleasure of playing a SnG with Mr Orford yesterday, he is a great ambassador for sky poker and a genuinely funny guy.

I'm also happy to say he has finally broke the back of his SnG slump, after 15 in a row without a cash.... number 16 was a charm. he knocked me out on the bubble after calling my shove with the Monster that is 6c 8c, granted i only had 3-4 of clubs.........

i would also like to say what a great day i had at the SPT, crashed out of the main event early, ran 2 pair into a set and lost most of my stack and never recovered, had to shove with A-J, called by 88 , the 8's held up. wasn't all bad though, i did ok from the sit and go's and had a right laugh along the way.It was a pleasure to meet and play with the sky community, Flashflush, Solarcarro,Gregghogg,Noseybonk,Mickjenn Pool8....Rita of course (sorry cant remember your alias)..to name but a few. can't wait till the next one now.

    37, if you please.

And he's 13 into his NEXT run of non-cashes already!

PS - Glad you enjoyed the SNG's. I never get to play them, but judging by the roars of laughter, & oohs & aahs from the Table, & Posts like yours, they are SO important to the day as a whole.

I agree, was nice to meet a few of you too! (Although i'm bob with names!)

I didnt play in the SPT but G Casino is my local, and I was lucky enough to turn up as the first SnG started so I plonked myself down with flashflush to my left and Mike1975 opposite. Had a really good laugh and ended up coming second. Tried my luck again on another table but lost on the bubble.

I definitely need to get into more of these tourneys! Someone point me in the right direction...

Cheers for the comments guys (Tikay excepted!)

As you can probably tell, just like you lot I love the Sky Poker tour and hope to be at as many as I can!

I really enjoyed meeting all the names from the forum who I haven't come across yet and thought there was a great atmosphere there on Saturday.

And of course, I particularly enjoyed hitting my one-outer on the river in the sngs!

    Boom!

    ;)

The play looked almost genius when the case 8 arrived!

I must just say Mr Orford must be a saint because he seemed to always have a smile on his face despite getting so much grief!  Must be hard to concentrate under that kind of fire :)  He also lastd longer than me in the main tourney...although that wasn't too difficult!

    Good times.

**** right I do matey- that will teach you for sticking it on my head as I crashed out the main event and announcing it as a 'loser's cap'.

I have a cap, you don't. Now, who's the loser? Ha ha!

Shoved on button with J9 suited when short, Rich insta calls, BB folds... He turns over 88, flop comes K,9,4(ish) only for the BB to then say "I folded A8" .. Fantastic 1 card in the deck, good night Orford close the door on your way out.. turn blank... river 8!!! You jammy ..... !!!
