Not a Moan, Just a Question.lol

I am not complaining/moaning, I'm just asking the question. Why have the Main Event and the 9pm £110 buy-in tournament both had £1,000 taken off the Guarantee? This happened before with the Bounty Hunters at 9pm and 9:30pm. The most surprising thing about this is that the Wednesday night Main is a decent tournament and is basically The Open but double the starting stack. These tournaments usually make the Guarantee and by dropping the Prizepool it is even less likely to make that level. I understand that Sky is a business and has to make adjustments based on traffic and participation, yet these tournaments are well regarded and the nightly 9pm £110 buy-ins were added by Sky. I assumed they had an idea that these were warranted and would make the money. If it doesn't make the Guarantee then cancel it. If the people really wanted it they would then start moaning and would have to support its return. By dropping the guarantee it just makes it less likely that smaller stakes players will want to satellite into it. I understand that this is a 'High Roller' tournament for Sky so the smaller stakes players satelliting in isn't the main concern, but, they do fill the tournament up by playing the sats, and they don't win the sat then keep the cash like some higher stakes players. Hope this is taken in the way it was meant. Best wishes. Shaun the Villa fan in Bham

i can see where coming from, as it is all i can say is that they were not making guarantee`s but becuase they were still popular they dropped prize pool.

you will also see guarantee`s dropping when the summer hit`s as most will be out on those so called summer nites

Can not see the problem with dropping the gaurantee if the the £110 9pm gets 45 runners then £4500 is still good . I dont think this will make the numbers drop even more.
If the 8pm makes the numbers the prize pot will be the same as it was before .
It is a pure business decision , understandable i think and will not make a huge amount of difference to the po
