Suggestion: Survivor "Step-Up" a Level

The difficulty in playing Survivor is committing to a full programme of events through the week. This acts to exclude a number of willing participants. Wouldn't it be good to have the option of buying you way up to the next level without the need to play. By this, someone could confidently enter Survivor at the beginning in the knowledge that if they were unable to play one evening they could just pay the addition sum to step up.
For example, if a player entered on Sunday for £1 and was still in after Tuesday's game they effectively have accrued a £8 entrance fee to Wednesday. If then unable to play it would be good for them to pay rather than play. A further £8 would see their progression to Thursday's game. This might become a deliberate strategy for some. For so many more people the tournament now becomes playable.
